First of all, you cant record 24/7 it only records if there's motion or sound. You can watch live if you payb for the subscription as they don't take an SD card. But you cant do anything because the pieces of chit wont stay connected for nothing. They'll connect for a few, then they just randomly lose connection and no matter what you do, you cant get them to reconnect until after they finally decide to quit fuggin with youafter an hour or so and they reconnect for about 20 mins then same chit over and over. Junk. Junk. Junk...
I'm using the camera to monitor a relative in a memory care facility. I can see if she has fallen or just needs assistance in getting an item in her room. The sound is great and the picture is always clear. It was simple to set up and it is a great relief when I can't be at the facility to check on her myself. I have recommended this camera to others without hesitation.
I've been using the roku cameras for over 2 years and was very happy with them. I have 8. Until a couple months ago. Roku decided to stop providing still images of events in an attempt to force you to buy a subscription. No warning. They still send notifications but this makes the cameras virtually useless unless you are watching live stream. Im going back to my geeni cameras. No subscription needed.
I have three of the Roku indoor cameras. When I got them one of the features I liked was that it would take still images of motion detection and it would do this without a subscription. I was having some work done at my home so I signed up for subscription to get video recordings instead of just still images during the time the work was being completed. After the work was done, I canceled the subscription because it was no longer needed. After canceling I noticed I was no longer getting the still images I got before. After contacting customer support, they said that feature had been removed and they were sorry I did not get a notice about it. That was a great feature and one of the reasons I purchased this brand camera. Now the camera is useless to me and I'm going to be shopping for a different brand camera
Camera is good quality. Very clear and mad might vision very clear as well. This camera is better than other I have used before. The Sound is also good quality. I can hear clear and also speak which is ver Important. I also appreciate the notifications I get and all the other options that are available..
