Royal Canin Appetite Control Spayed/Neutered Senior Dry Cat Food, 6 lb

I've been feeding this for over a year now and have been very happy with the results. My cat has been obsessively food driven since I adopted him as an adult 5 years ago, ripping open any bags of human or pet food he can get his paws on and pestering me for 2+ hours before meal times. Using an electronic feeder to feed 4-5 meals per day helped quite a bit with his desire to steal people food, but switching to this food is what really helped curb his begging between meals. He still sits quietly in front of the feeder for an hour before a meal sometimes, but he's not pawing at it and yowling before every single meal like he used to. He even stopped scratching the couch, which I hadn't even realized was correlated with his food begging until we switched to this food and he stopped! He does drink and urinate a lot more, but scooping the box more often is well worth the calmer state of mind he (and myself and my partner) seems to have with not feeling like he's starving every day. I am SO glad I found this food, it literally changed our lives for the better.

Currently have 2 cats who both tend to be overweight and used to clean their bowls the minute they were fed. If v CoPurse they would then want more. Now they “budget“ their food and it lasts til the next day feeding time. I'm assuming this is the appetite control concept that keeps them fuller longer- whatever it is, it works for Rusti and Zari! Ever since I started giving my cat your appetite controlled dry food, he has actually lost a bit of weight. For a while, he gained weight when my older cat became sick. My current Siamese cat was eating everything my sick cat would not. After my wonderful older cat passed, I attempted to provide various weight control food to my remaining cat to no avail. He just kept the weight on. When I got my new kitten, my loving fat cat began eating the kitten's kitten food. Your appetite control food is a godsend. Thank you so much for your innovation.
