Can someone from Rubbermaid fasttrack team proper instructions to remove the back cover off the rail. It seem impossible with out breaking it or damaging the wall.
there are several flaws with the fast track. Mainly for myself it is the lack of the cover not being fastened to the rail and the whole thing slides from side to side. hole spacing is another one.
I echo the criticism of the 48 ins rail which should be 50 ins to accommodate 16 inch studs. This has been a routine observation and yet there has been no attempt to either correct the situation or comment on the problem by Rubbermaid in the instructions so people like me don't waste time trying to figure out how to hit 4 studs. Angling the screws is a ridiculous solution!!
This is a great system overall. I agree with the others that the length of the 48" rails do not work well with the the typical 16" stud spacing. You shouldn't have to angle the screws to hit the studs as the Rubbermaid representative as been saying in these comments. When I installed mine, i centered the rail on the middle of 3 studs, and screwed into the 3 studs. That left an 8" overhang beyond the studs on each end of the rail, for which I used 2 drywall anchors (one top and bottom) at the last holes at each end of the rail. I will not be hanging anywhere near the rated weight, so this configuration works very well. I ended up butting 2 or 3 of these rails end to end, and this configuration worked very well for that as well.
Easy to install. If you (or your studs) are off a little you may need to angle the last screws to hit the stud. This is ok as the heads still clear the cover. They do however need END CAPS as the ends are ugly when exposed.
