We were selling our house and had moved. I place some items in our rubbermaid she'd and of course some vandals came by and tried getting in. Photos to prove that this shed is tough. I had a padlock on it and they didn't bring bolt cutters. These doors withstood some force and all that happened was the top two pins broke. The hinges held up to the abuse and nothing was stolen! Thank you for making such a great product and having the doors shipped to my house to fix before we closed!!!
Putting this together is a nightmare. All the parts were bowed so it made very difficult to make the parts fit together correctly. There will be many gaps still in it so foam will have to be used to fill in holes. We are very aggravated with this. Its already 2 days and it still not done. 2 people with 2 ladders is not enough when you have defective parts.
I bought this deck box a couple of years ago. Soon after purchasing, we had to place a lock on to keep the door closed. And the shelf warped & bowed. The unit was expensive and I'm wondering how we can reinforce the shelf to make it last a couple more years.
I put this together with no assistance, had to use some clamps and straps at certain points but it went together fairly easy. The upper support brackets slowed me down because the directions are very unclear about proper placement. On the upper supports install them so the large holes are on the inside and the punch points are on the bottom, be prepared to lose some screws in the support, I lost 3 in there. The peak of the roof directions are also pretty poor but if you put the backet on the end first and then the other ends opposite side it will help you out a ton. all together it took me about 4 hours. The end result is a fairly sturdy little shed and I'm quite pleased with it. Hope this is helpful.
I'm 67 years old, I put it together by myself...I bought longer screws to use around the roof and on the stabilizer bars....It took me awhile, dropped a couple of things on my head...so if I can do it (with God's help) anyone can do it.....I'm very proud of my new shed.
