RUBBERMAID

Have a hinge lid version, not cheap, thought I was getting good product for paying up a bit. The lid seal so tightly you almost have to pry lid to open because of oversized sealing gasket. Performed well at first, but hardened plastic body succumbed to thermo shock and cracked. Overall Rubbermaid products are good I think this one was a dud...

I agree these are great containers because of the ability to see through them clearly and because both the containers and the lids nest so nicely - my container cabinet always looked organized. They also did not stain just like the advertising stated. Unfortunately, mine also crack - at least the old plastic (the one that sounds higher pitched when clicked with your fingernail). I have throw at least a dozen of various sizes out. I recently purchased new ones made of plastic that is a bit different because the fingernail click on the plastic sounds duller or lower pitched; but because I haven't had them a long time, I cannot tell you if they crack or not. The lids are all in excellent condition but almost all of the dishes themselves have developed large cracks. I haven't experienced this with other food storage products so it is obviously disappointing. Some of the plastic has also developed what appear to be melted areas and bubbling. All I've used these for is microwaving and refrigerator storage and I clean them in the dishwasher, all of which are supposed to be approved uses. At no point have they been dropped or mistreated.

I bought 2 set of 6 and they cracked before 45 days I'm not sure what they change on the material they use now, I still have some when they used a image on the Rubbermaid and they are over 2 years old... I don't know if I want to keep buying your product???

I love my Rubbermaid products but am severely disappointed in the premier collection. I have bought 6 of the 9cup/2.1L red lid contsiners for food storage and 4 of the 14cup/ size. Of my 6 9cup contsiners, 4 have cracks in them. This has never happened to me before. Very disappointed
