[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves trains very much. All kinds of trains from ones made from wood to books. He doesn't have any steam trains. He liked us having to put it together. Once we started, We didn't stop until we finished. We got it altogether and then he was amazed how the steam works. We kept putting water in just just to watch the steam.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love Ryan's Steam engine this is really fun for kids to build a engine.little bit hard for kids to assemble because all the parts need to attached with small screws.but with adult helps they can do it.instruction book really help to building 52 pieces in a engine just follow step by step.after complete engine model looks very nice with motion lights and sound for smoke you need to put water tank in chimney and then you can see like reall engine with light train whistle sound and smoke.one thing I want to mention this engine is not moving.quality is very good and packed very well totall 54 pieces 52 pieces steam engine build kit 1 screwdriver and one sticker sheet.you need 4 AA batteries which not include.my kids wish engine must be move then it's more fun otherwise they loved it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a week or so ago and as soon as my son saw it he got excited to get it put together. I love how it has all the mechanical parts just like a real steam engine. It was fun to put together and watch it run.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Ryan's world DIY Steam Engine is so much fun to put together. It is fairly easy to assemble but with the help of a parent. Its very realistic and it is very cool to see how it works. The only thing is that some of the pieces could have been made a little higher quality than they are. The instructions are pretty clear with very little indiscretions.
