This carseat met all of my expectations. It is very similar to a Britax carseat (which I have borrowed in the past and loved but cannot afford new!) I like everything about the seat- it's comfortable for my daughter, easy to install (my car does not use LATCH, though), and attractive. I only have 2 minor complaints. First, the seat arrived from WalMart and UPS not even in plastic, and the box was badly smashed. Second, the shoulder width is a little narrow. Not a problem while my daughter is small, but as she gets closer to the size limit, she may start to feel pinned in. Great carseat overall, fantastic value.

funny the seat looks really ugly but my 4 mnth old is already outgrown a pumpkin seat so this was my choice as it is nice and soft lots of room and cushioning. I really dont know why rear facing was so difficult for people I have a very new car and rear facing set up was quick. Just may need a pool noodle or a towel to get the correct angle for a small baby. overall happy with purchase.

I purchased this for my daycare provider's vehicle. It is worth the purchase. My baby loves it and is so comfortable in it. It's not like the high end Britax, but will do the job. The only thing that I dislike about the product is the recline adjuster. It works, but seems kinda cheap when you use it and compare it to that of Britax and Eddie Bauer. Overall, I think that it's a great buy. My baby appears to be very safe in this car seat.

I bought this seat about a year and a half ago and I read reviews until my eyes were sore and did a lot of research and overall, it is a good seat for the price, but I wish I knew how badly the seat belt twists! It is so irritating! This car seat is a good value if your budget for a convertible car seat is less than $100. It is very cushiony and comfortable, but when my child falls asleep her head still falls forward. I guess, there is no avoiding that since the seat does not recline. I don't write reviews often, but the twisting seat belts motivated me to write this review. I wish I knew! I guess I would recommend this seat if you don't want to spend more than $100, but be warned, the seat belts twist over and over again! If you are not on a budget, buy a Britax. They advertise seat belts that do not twist.

Originally bought as a replacement for a Graco Comfort Sport that we hated (those straps were always getting messed up/hard to adjust). We've been really happy with the Safety 1st. We bought a 2nd of the exact same seat when our younger one moved to my son's old convertible. I've spent more on bulky, impractical seats (do you know a 16-month-old boy can get out of the straps on a $300 Britax b/c of the way the adjustment latch is positioned?) but we've been very happy w/this one. The straps adjust easily, and the cover is pretty durable -- toddler vomit came out pretty well in the wash. My one caveat: I've never used rear-facing, my little one is still in another seat.
