I just read that the size of spline needed is usually shown on the screen material label. However, you may also be able to find a chart online that shows the size of spline needed for your project. Also, I know it's surprisingly difficult to find, but the nylon roller tool with wooden handle works the best from what I have found.

This black spline for windows and doors seems to be great quality! It doesn't feel cheap. It feels like it has the right kind of flexibility. I'm hoping it will hold up for a long time. I can't comment on how long it will last because I have only had it for about a month. I was super excited to receive this product though since we are renovating a mid century home. We are pretty experienced with renovations and knowing what's good quality and not; this product seems to meet the standard of good quality.

I can't begin to say how many screens I have replaced over the years due to my many rescue cats. I love this product and will only purchase this brand again when the need occurs, which I doubt will be very often. It is extremely durable and fairly easy to install. The spline is a bit difficult to work with, thus the 4* rating. The product itself deserves 10*. I'll do better next time as this was my first attempt. In short, a real bang for the buck and I am exceedingly pleased overall with its performance.
