Sally Hansen Hard As Nails French Manicure Kit, Sheerly Opal

I had tried this set once or twice, but was never super-impressed with the application or wear. I found it a bit annoying & difficult to apply, mainly the strips that are meant to guide you. I could never line them up accordingly, which resulted in slanted French manicured tips, and still smudging.. not sure if it was due to the multi-step process, chemical makeup of 1 or the other (top coat or base), or all of the above, but this isn't something I'd recommend to most people. Thank the high heavens for Color Street 100% Nail Polish Strips (or Incoco sold in most retailers), otherwise, I may never have been able to get a near perfect French manicure that was done myself & not in a salon!

This kit made it easier to do a french manicure at home, especially with the sticker nail guides that are included in the kit.  I work with my hands alot and the color seem to not last as long as some of the other Sally Hansen products but still a good product.

I remember buying one of these kits in preparation for my 8th grade dance. It includes stickers you apply to your nails so that you can get a clean line for your French tip. The white polish needed at least 2-3 coats to look decent, and the pink/nude color needed at least 2 coats as well. As you know, the more layers of polish you apply, the less attractive the manicure tends to be, plus it took forever to dry, so there was more of a chance that you would smudge the whole thing and negate your work. I would definitely suggest using a fast dry top coat with this should you decide to try this kit out at home, and having a more opaque color for the tip that only requires one coat of polish would be ideal.

This product is awful, as well as it is sold with a terrible product description. The "pink" polish is a pearl finish. NO French manicure has this finish, it looks awful, glittery, and very cheap. After the time it took for a flawless application, I had to immediately remove it. What's worse, is I received a multi pack, which means that between the white, the pearl/iridescent pink, and the top coat, I now have SIX bottles of polish going into the trash. Don't waste your money on this.
