When we were looking to upgrade our old 55" TV (Samsung), we wanted too get something that was not going to date too quickly and felt that it was worth investing in the 8K version. The TV is not flimsy and even through earthquakes, has sat firm on the cabinet. Picture quality is outstanding and we still get people visiting us and commenting at how amazing our picture quality is - it is so lifelike that you feel that you could almost reach in and touch what is on the screen. The voice control is great and the only issue we have encountered (which I believe is a Vodafone TV issue) is that after watching Netflix and wanting to go back to normal TV, most times, I need to unplug the TV box and then restart.
it's a good TV but some stuff it does I don't like like a blurred around people who are walking but it is a sharper picture and a little more clear I had a 4k tv before this one which was excellent and had no problems what so ever with it.i was expected my new 1 to be the same and better but within days of having it I had to send it off for repairs and I still don't think it's working 100%
Just picked this tv up, unfortunately the tv suffers from terrible stutter, especially on any hd sports which is not watchable on football, american football, darts etc. Causes me motion sickness. This is a major problem as there are over 2000 posts on another forum and samsung cannot fix the problem on 2020 sets. Such a shame as the picture is amazing on netflix or some skyq uhd programmes. Very very disappointed. Worst ever purchase for an expensive piece of technology.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV is great in some situations, but in others, it's really disappointing. The appearance of an 85" checkerboard, where you can clearly distinguish the backlighting pattern truly ruins it's otherwise greatness. It's persistent and annoying, the first person I showed the TV off to asked, "what is that pattern?" I am still questing if I should return the unit or not.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Due to my misfortune I happen to be in the unusual position to be able to compare this model to the same 65 inch- 4K model from last year. In short, my 2019, 65 inch-4K model fell off the wall and we replaced it with the 8K 2020 model. We paid significantly more for the 8K and honestly we were disappointed. Frankly, our disappointment has nothing to do with Samsung. We just feel like we made a big mistake in choosing 8K. Last year's model came with One Connect, which we liked, and it came with a stand that presented the screen at a flat angle. This year's model did away with One Connect and the TV stand tilts back. It's an odd viewing angle which almost demands that the TV be mounted. Lastly, and this really has more to do with the content that we all will be consuming for foreseeable future, 8K content just doesn't exist. And this being said, it's challenging to find great 4K content. So, for this reason, our next Samsung will be the 85 inch 4K. I just don't see the value in 8K. Size matters and 4K is where the content is today and maybe for the foreseeable future.
