I have had a considerable number of galaxy s3g & 4g smartphones and all of them have had serious issues, most of these phones being refurbished phones, and have all had the same issues of force closing applications, including the dialer when trying to make a call, up to 13 times in a row on multiple occasions, as well as the call logs, contacts, and most applications. I have spoken with my provider and have done everything they have told me to do in order keep my smartphone running smoothly, and no luck. I am tired of having to master reset my phone and loosing all my applications and settings, in my opinion this phone is more of a headache than it is helpful.
This "phone" is great. I have not had any issues. The battery use is as expected for whatever you are using it for. I have added a 32gb sd card and have installed many apps to my phone as well as the sd card. The only con is the light sensitivity at low resolution on the video is not very good. High resolutions works great but is a little large to upload to facebook or whatever.
NOT AN IPHONE BUT A GREAT SUBSTITUTION TO WHERE I REALLY DONT FEEL LIKE IM MISSING OUT ON ANYTHING. GREAT SCREEN - NO CRASHES - RELIABLE SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE
I love the phone and the UI. Only two issues I really can't stand is the fixed Menu Bar on home screen, and the internal memory. Its horrible. Everything else is amazing! The front and rear view camera, the feature allowing you to tether via wireless or usb, and the volume of the phone. Wish it did have a status light though.
I can't say enough good things about this phone. Since 2008 when the first Android smartphone was launched I have going through 15 phones, mostly defective ones being replaced. I picked up the Galaxy S Vibrant and then later it's HSPA+ replacement the Galaxy S 4g and haven't looked back since. I'm excited for the Galaxy S II. My only concerns are with Samsung not communicating more clearly about the timing of releases to Android .x updates. Gingerbread is still not available for this phone and to my knowledge there hasn't been a single word from Samsung as to when we might see things.
