I love Samsung... my HDTV is a beautiful Samsung. My Blu Ray player is Samsung. So when it came time to purchase a smartphone, I went with the Samsung. I spent over 2 hours in the T-Mobile store with the salespeople going over a couple of phones trying to make the decision. I didn't take it lightly. It is my first smartphone... i kept my previous 'flip phone' for 6 years!! I liked the big screen but I was still concerned about it feeling too big. In the end, I chose it... this was 5 months ago. And I have had buyers regret ever since. The display quality is amazing. But since day one, the phone freezes. I must have to reboot it AT LEAST twice a day. Phone calls... I actually try not to make them now. I can't hear the person or they can't hear me. And it drops calls all the time. I just really thought I made an informed decision and I'm so deeply disappointed. This is the first time in my nearly 15 years with T that I cannot wait to be out of a contract. Not because of them but because of this phone. And remember... I kept my last phone for 6 years. For this reason, I was talked into paying for the phone to get a lower plan. So I paid (or am STILL paying monthly) full retail price for this phone...
It was really between this and the newer S3. This has everything the S3 does, and with android icecream coming for it soon, it will be the exact same. I enjoy the additional buttons at the bottom, which is probably the biggest difference, in my own opinion. Both have 1.5gig dual core processors, 2gigs of ram, and the ability to have 64gig sdcards inserted, so this was a no brainer. Also, the titanium color is better than the blue the S3 comes in, which is asthetic I know, but it means a bit to me.
This is the first phone I have owned that actually like. It has big display which makes it easy to see, a great camera which is a must for me, and it is thin so it fits in my pocket. I would buy this phone again and may look to the next generation for my upgrade. It is a great phone and there is no downside to owning it.
This phone is amazing. It looks sexy, thin and light. I've been using the phone for almost a year and really pleased with it. It just works. Some phones after a while will start to have issues, slow down and just feels and look old. The Galaxy S2 is the exact opposite. It is just as responsive as the day when i first used it. Its is also upgradeable to ICS and has NFC support among other feature so its as if it is future proof. When it comes to specs after almost 1 year other phones are still playing catch up. Hats off to Samsung for creating a heck of a product. Definitely and Samsung fan for life!!!
I love, love, love this phone. I have owned all the phones in the galaxy line starting with the vibrant and, for me, the SGS2 is the best of them all. This phone rocks. It is fast and the screen is crystal clear. The battery goes a little faster than I would like but I still love it. I highly recommend this phone over any other.
