This phone does everything I need it to very well. The only minor complaint I have is with the svoice app. It has a few problems understanding some words, and no voice training is available. Other than that small exception this thing works flawlessly.
I've been traveling past few weeks quite a bit from Chicago to San Diego. Many times the phone would lockup or freeze requiring a restart. I was using the electronic boarding pass instead of actual hard copy & the phone froze upon boarding. Also a lot of apps have been crashing on this phone and they never did that on s2.
While the GS3 was a serious upgrade from my old smart phone, I was still surprised by the lack of some basic improvement, #1 being battery life. After I loaded the apps that I use, battery life dropped of quickly to the point that I had to have the phone on charge at the desk late in the day. Other than the battery issue, the screen is a major improvement and the size is great! Home run there! As to the intuitiveness of the phone to use, it's about the same as the rest. The duo core processor makes the apps just snap into place and pictures a breeze to take and move to the next pic and take again. The panorama function in the camera is fantastic as well! I find that the hand motions for using the phone are not all that important, but the Svoice commands are one thing that I could not live without in the next phone. I found that learning the commands just a bit clunky but I'm sure that this will be addressed in future versions ( hear that samsung? ). While I found it thin and moderately light weight, I found that the "off" button for the screen was place in opposition to the "volume" button so that when I turn off the screen, I hit the volume button all of the time and that is a design flaw that will need to be addressed. All in all this is a real home run for Samsung! The only reason that I did not give it a 5 star rating was due to the battery issue.
I absolutely love this new Galaxy S III. My wife and I purchased two of them at the same time and we both love them. It's the fastest, clearest phone that we have ever owned. Now that the 4G is available there is no stopping this phone. My only complaint is that the battery life could be much better. We are aware of the battery life issues and are aware of it throughout the day so that we stay powered up. I would and have already recommended this product to anyone else who asks.
Great phone! Works so much better than Galaxy 1. Almost never locks up, only twice so far. I use the GPS features in it all the time, as I'm a truck driver. The camera is great, also. Wish it had a brighter screen for use in daylite. Can't hardly see it when sunny outside. A front mounted speaker is also still needed. A bit louder volume, also. These Three items would have garnered 5 stars overall. I like this phone. My wife got one, also.
