I wasn't sure it could replace my laptop but within minutes of using it I was hooked. The Galaxy TabPro S is the perfect combination of portability and utility. It is incredibly light yet has the power for basic, everyday computing tasks. Not sure about more processor-intensive tasks but it meets my needs. The display is awesome and the overall build quality is superb. Battery life is great as well. Thank you Samsung for including the keyboard/case as that was a significant factor in my decision to go with this device. Also love that it pairs with my Note 7 for unlocking Windows and on screen notifications from my phone. The only con I have is that I wish it had one more port, either usb-c or usb-a so that it was easier to charge with other devices connected. Otherwise I am extremely happy with this purchase.

The most beautiful display you can get on a laptop/tablet. However, Samsung did not put a "standard" USB-C port on this device. It doesn't work with most USB-C hubs and it doesn't work with most USB-C chargers and that is poor design. Also, it should have at least 2 USB-C ports so you are not required to buy a hub. The keyboard is below average. It always takes longer than it should to feel out the keys. Also, one of the keys popped off and it will not pop back on. Very poor design. Sometimes the device refuses to turn on even when the battery is full. It is just very flaky and not ready for mass consumers.

Samsung is very innovative and technologically driven. Anyone can use their products. This Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is both a tablet and a laptop. It does what a laptop does with the added convenience of a tablet. I use it for my home-based business as well as personal use. It is powerful, fast, convenient and I can take it anywhere. I love it...

I have been using this tablet daily at work and at home, it is the fastest most versatile tablet/laptop that I have owned to date. I have already purchased an external hard drive that fits right in the Incipio sleeve that i purchased with the Tablet.

I've had my new tablet for about 2 weeks now and I have to say that it is everything I thought it would be from what I read in the specs and reviews. It absolutely replaced my laptop, which was 5 1/2 years old. So if you're coming from an older laptop like me you're probably gonna be pleasantly surprised with the performance of this tablet. Performance. I don't consider myself a "power user" or anything like that. When I read reviews from people who have 10+ tabs in Chrome open with a dozen other programs running all at once I wonder how they keep track of everything. I use my computer mostly for Photoshop, Autocad LT and entertainment with some light word processing, spreadsheets and gaming. The most I have open at one time is an 11x17 Photoshop file, 300-600 dpi with 5-10 layers, probably 2 tabs in Edge and Windows Media Player for music OR Autocad LT with 2-3 files open, a couple tabs in Edge, Windows Media Player for music, an Excel spreadsheet and notepad. So far I am totally satisfied with the performance of the tablet. There hasn't been any slowdown at all or skipping of music while doing stuff in Photoshop or Autocad. I'm really looking forward to getting the pen so I can try that out in photoshop too. The screen. Everyone was right, the screen is amazing. For movies and games it's fantastic. The dimming every minute or two was annoying at first but I don't mind it anymore. I never notice it while I'm working or gaming becuase I'm always giving some kind of input. It doesn't do it while watching movies thankfully. The screen seems like it can get very bright to me. I work indoors during the day with it at about 50% brightness and that works great for me. Watching movies at night while my wife is sleeping I turn it all the way down and it's not bright enough to wake her up like my laptop was which is nice. The speakers are surprisingly loud which is nice. I usually listen to them at about 70% while I'm working and that seems pretty good as long as you have the volume in WMP turned all the way up too. I'm not saying that they're the best speakers ever but I was not expecting them to sound as good as they do. The keyboard does take some getting used to but I'm coming off of an 11" laptop and an ATIV 500t so I'm pretty used to smaller keyboards. I'll just throw this in here, I'm 6'3" and my hands are probably more on the large size and I'm able to type on the keyboard with few mistakes. Most of them are because the layout is a little different from my laptop so when I go to use backspace I hit the = key instead or every once in a while I will hit two keys at once. I have yet to accidentally touch the screen while reaching for the top buttons. There are only two viewing angles with the keyboard cover but I've found that they're just about right for every place I've had to use my tablet. One thing I will note is that you might want to be a little careful if you're picking up the device from underneath the keyboard, it gave me a scare when if felt like the tablet was going to fall over backward. So just keep a hand on the tablet when you lift and you should be fine. The fact that it's not backlight doesn't really bother me either. It would be a nice feature but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. There is a little light on the Caps Lock button to remind you that it's on though, which is nice. The trackpad is a little funky in my opinion. Not that it doesn't work well, it's just that it's not very tall but kinda wide so when I go for a right click with it I end up just left clicking because I didn't reach over far enough. Other than that it's got good feel and nice clicking when you hit the buttons. I only have a Galaxy S5 so I can't make us of or comment on Samsung Flow. As far as only having the one USB-C port, I don't mind it that much. I already had a bluetooth mouse so I don't need a usb port for that. I bought a cheap ($9.99) USB-C to USB adapter when I bought the tablet so I can access all my stuff on my external hard drive and since the battery lasts so long there has only been one time where I wanted to grab something off the drive but I was charging. Storage. Yeah it only has 128GB but I have everything I need on it with a game I don't actually "need" and I still have like 28GB free. Like I said before, I don't consider myself a power user though. Also I'm starting to use cloud storage a little more after I lost some data and forgot to back it up so that helps too. Would it be nice if they put a MicroSD card slot on this thing? Yeah, of course. Do I think there's plenty of room for one on this thing? Yeah, of course. But I also read specs and reviews before I spend my hard earned cash on stuff so I knew what I was getting into. Battery life. When I work I'm always near an outlet but I've been trying to not plug in so I can test this out. I don't have exact hours but I use it for work most of the day, it's not on all the time, it turns off when I take breaks or am on a long phone call and I don't ever have to plug it in until later in the evening. So it has to have some pretty awesome battery life Just a note on gaming if anyone is interested, it scored a 2653 on the FFXIV Heavensward benchmark with standard laptop settings, 1366x768 resolution which look pretty darn good still. There were some spots where it got kinda choppy but it ran pretty darn well. Actually I tried it again in a cooler environment and it scored around 3400 with these settings. I guess my warm apartment was effecting it. It scored just a little over 1000 on standard laptop settings with native resolution. Likewise, it plays SWTOR on low settings flawlessly and on medium with some slight chop but I still play it on medium. I don't have FFXIV to actually play so I can't comment on how well it runs with actual gameplay. PROBLEMS So for I've only had one problem with my new tablet. For some reason the bluetooth is on the fritz. It works for a while and then completely dissappears from my computer, doesn't show up in settings or in the device manager. Just, gone.... I chatted with Samsung help and they were able to fix it by downloading the driver from the Samsung Update program and reinstalling it but a couple hours later the same thing happened. So now a few times a day it drops out and I have to spend time deleting drivers and installing drivers trying to get it to show back up. I assume this is a driver problem but what do I know. I'm working with Samsung to try and get if figured out and as soon as it's fixed I will happily give this tablet a 5 star rating.
