The tablet itself is nice and easy to use. The problem is that the tablet comes pre-loaded with a ton of apps loaded by Samsung that cannot be removed, and less than half the internal storage is allotted to storing the apps, including all the junk provided by Samsung. Combine that with the fact that they have limited the hardware functionality so that you can't move apps to the external SD card storage and you have a very limited device that fills up fast. If you want a real tablet and insist on staying with the Samsung brand, get a GT-P6210 if you can still find it. That is the older version of this, and has at least double the feature set including the ability to control where apps are loaded. That one I gave a 5 star review. Word from Samsung is that this is the new model of building the hardware - limiting them so that you can't move apps around. So good luck everyone! I'm switching my brand of choice.

the operating system and samsung apps take up over 4 gigs of memory, so you don't really have much free space available for additional apps and downloads. You can use a 32 gig SD card, but samsung/android won't let you move any apps to the SD card. So with the SD card you can have lots of photos, but still only limited space for any apps or tool that would make this tablet useful. Basically it's real purpose it just to stream movies, check email/facebook, and maybe read ebooks. If that is all you need, then it's an ok tablet, if you want more functionality, find something with better memory flexibility, or a manufacturer that doesn't use up your memory with unwanted apps.

For what I paid for it, I can't believe what I got, the value is incredible. So far the only thing I am a little disappointed in is that you have to have a Samsung printer to print from it...bah humbug. But that is the only fault I can find with it so far, granted I have only had it since the 14th and today is the 16th, but I have played with it a lot and I like it ALOT!! Screen is so clear, its fast and responsive, have read some complaints on the battery life before purchasing, but have not found that to be true at all. I also have the screen set on the brightest setting too. To get into a tablet for what I paid and it to be this awesome, I feel very lucky!! I have an android phone already, so am familiar with that format . If you are considering it, go for it!!

For the price that is asked for this tablet, it performs quite well. I purchased the 7.0 that was included in the special Student Edition and it turned out to be incredibly helpful for my school work. In class, I can just take this with me instead of taking my big laptop to school. Not only does it work as a worthy device to use in lecture classes but its lightweight makes it very easy to carry back and forth. The features available with the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 are more than sufficient for the typical tablet user. It can play music and movies (videos) really well and there's a fair degree to get out of the Android market depending on what you are into. This is not a gaming tablet; it was not marketed as one but in terms of everything else that you'd need an all-around tablet to do, it gets the job done handily. Very much worthy of everyone that is looking to purchase a small tablet to satisfy a majority of tasks for being on the go, I definitely recommend this. If you can get the Student Edition, which includes a keyboard dock and a USB adapter, I also recommend that.

First off I'm a long time (35+ years) computer user. I don't think that affects my review but first time computer/tablet users note. Secondly this is my first tablet and Android device. I've had this product for less than 24 hours now and love it. It is very easy to use. I've had no significant issues at all and have customized it to my preferences in short order. I did have one issue--using the on-screen keyboard is an issue for my aging eyesight and clumsy fingers. That said using the device in landscape mode makes this much better as the "keys" are slightly larger and further apart. Unfortunately I didn't figure this out until AFTER entering all 63 characters of my Wi-Fi security code. Also I happen to own a Bluetooth keyboard and was able to pair/use this in less than a minute. Another issue is the provided printed manuals. Much too small to be of any use. I downloaded, as I normally do anyway, the manual in PDF format and referred to that. PDF's are searchable so finding what you need is much easier. The first App I downloaded was Adobe Reader so viewing PDF's on the device is a breeze. I've put a 8GB microSDHC card in my unit. That was loaded up with music (MP3's), manuals (PDF's) and so on. Absolutely no issues with any of that. In fact the built-in Music Player found all my MP3's by itself. Didn't have to do a thing. I already had Samsung and Google accounts and both were configured and used in less than a minute. I have connected the tablet to a PC via USB. It didn't show up as a mass-storage device (that maybe a default setting somewhere) but did as a MTP device. Either way you can transfer files. Bluetooth pairing (to keyboard and PC) is trivial. Just worked. All in all this is a great device for the price. Not exactly a replacement for my PC's but very good for it's intended purpose. One last thing. It comes with a built-in IR Blaster and an App making it a useful TV/etc remote. Not exactly a universal remote but useful.
