Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" Tablet 8GB Memory Refurbished

I was skeptical about the "refurbished" aspect, but after reading a few other reviews that said it was like new, I was on board. Mine arrived just "like new". Acutally in the same packaging as a new one which my partner had ordered a few months earlier. It was playing with his that convinced me I had to have one too. The extra savings on the refurbished model made it too tempting not to get it. The charger appeared brand new with the plastic shrink stuff still attached. The unit itself looked brand new - not a sign of handling by anyone else. I suspect they put the guts into a new case as part of the refurbishing process. The unit carries the same manufacturer warranty as a new one as well. It even came with a little plastic sleeve case to protect it which a new one doesn't. I realized many buyers downrated the item because it was not phone enabled - that is only wi-fi capabililty. You need to understand that from the get go or purchase a different product. I like the MicroSD slot feature a lot. I got a reasonably priced 32gig chip and can store all my pictures and music and have them with me all the time. I load the chip up from my laptop and then have the convenience of the tablet for portability. I have only loaded a few games (play on the bus commuting to work) but there were good free versions of the ones I like from the Samsung store. Have not really explored the full range of what's available. I did take a few pictures with the built in camera, both the front and the back one. The quality is not like my digital SLR camera, and probably not as sharp as many newer smart phones, but its more than adequate for quick snapshots. All in all, very happy with my purchase and would recommend to others.

The unit would not charge; I tried other compatible AC chargers and called tech support. The tech support at Samsung was courteous and attempted to help, but he said I have to go through the refurbishing company's tech support. I left a message there, but after 24+ hours I still haven't had my call returned. I ended up returning the unit to Walmart and buying a new one.

I'm actually writing my review on my refurbished Samsung galaxy tab. I bought the bigger 10" one for my husband and he absolutely loved it. So i decided to get me one but i have way smaller hands then he does so i went with the 7" model. Me being a walmart junkie/bargain queen I got online and seen this refurbished one at a discounted price, of course i was weary about ordering a refurbished product but I have worked in retail and know what "open box/refurbished" could mean..opened used as display,customer return etc. But i took my chances and ordered this refurbished one and can say I'm more than extremely happy with it. Shipping was super fast, got email updates on tracking my package. They did a great job with packing, box wrapped in another box. Comes in a refurbished box with new manuals and charger/usb.Works like it's brand new, I use it all the time. I even download torrents on it!!!!!!!I do suggest getting a micro SD card , I got a 16gb one for 12$!!! Of course on walmart.com :)

I LOVE this tablet. I have tryed to bargain shop with tablets & always got junk! I started to beleive the only way to get a half decent tablet was to spend at least $299 or more. BUT then I saw this and said one last try, and I couldnt be happier!!! This tablet comes with EVERYTHING the expensive ones do!! And it is from a well known company, SAMSUNG :) Cheaper then NOOK & KINDLE and it doesnt have a limited market like they do!! Also being refurbish is no problem at all! It comes in brand NEW condition not to mention walmart offers 2 whole years of drop, spill, cracked screen, & defect warranty for only $25!! NO deductible!! Transferable!! You just cant beat this deal. Definately a walmart best :)

Other than a small sticker on the back you would never know this is refurbished. Looks like new. I have been impressed with the Galaxy Tab 2. When I couldn't locate another Nexus 7 I decided to try this tablet. It is a shade less slick than the Nexus 7 - for instance the Nexus will turn on and off when the case is opened and closed. However, the Galaxy Tab has the rear facing camera, GPS, and the micro sd card slot The touch screen sensitivity is good, battery life is impressive, and the processor seems fast enough for most purposes. A great, and inexpensive option.
