I INSTALLED A NEW 950 EVO SSD IN MY OLDER RIG AND WHAT A GREAT INVESTMENT.LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

There are lots of SSDs available to buy, some cheaper than Samsung, but none better. Before purchasing I did a lot of research and it comes down to Samsung gives you the full performance (some other brands give less than advertized), its reliability has the best ratings, and the technology used for the storage gives you better lifespan than most of the others. Also, the cloning and optimization software it comes with is hard to beat, so when you are setting up your new SSD from an older HDD it makes the transition smooth and simple. I set up two computers with it, one starting fresh and the other was to replace an existing hard drive. In both cases the transistion was smooth and the drives are working great. Bottom line, you'll pay a few extra bucks for a Samsung SDD, but it is well worth the price. P.S. If you are debating whether you should get an SDD or just stick with a HDD, get one! You'll never want to go back!

Not only is this drive fast, but the Data Migration software was fast, too. Cloned my 120 GB drive in just a few minutes. I was staring at the green Completed banner for several minutes before I realized it was done and not a progress indicator that wasn't moving! Samsung Rocks!

Used on a dual core laptop with Windows 10. OEM drive made the computer run very slow. Watching videos was choppy and accessing data and internet was disappointing. Cloning the PC drive to the Samsung SSD was extremely easy and fast. Instead of wanting to buy a new Laptop, the price of the SSD compared to a new computer with a faster CPU is no longer a consideration. I have upgraded all of my desktops to Samsung SSD. Even the fastest Corei7 gets dramatic performance improvement. Creating DVDs in half the time, editing video quicker. Now when GIGABIT internet speed becomes available, I wont need the expensive "cable TV".

After a quick review of online reviews this drive stood out as the best drive for the cost. It is FAST and the included drive copy software made migrating my bosses HD over quick and painless. She has some very specialized phone system software on her system that if we have to get installed and set-up costs several hundred dollars and we did not have to do that. I have to say I was surprised at the weight of the drive we replaced, I had never really noticed how heavy 2.5" drives actually are until I compared it with the paper light weight of this drive. So another nice bonus besides the speed increase of the laptop we put it in was a noticeable reduction in its weight as well.
