Samsung J3 Eclipse 16GB Black (Verizon )

this phone is crap. the camera quality is horrible, it is so slow, it is most slow when they are trying to convince you to update it, and sometimes random functions just fail. today i wanted to play music loudly and my bluetooth wouldn't connect to any of my three speakers. and that wasn't the first time. the phone also overheats all the time. as soon as possible i will be switching to an apple.

My parents bought me this phone. About 2 years ago. I was happy it was one of my first phones. But after literally a week. It was so laggy. That I couldn't even open an app. I see why this phone is so cheap. You get what you pay for. And I understand why it is no longer available to buy. This phone absolutely sucks. Adds pop up every single time I open anything. So finally. I made the right choice. And I chucked it at my wall. And since it was no longer available to buy. I got a new one. And I'm very very very very very VERY happy. I plan to burn it. For my birthday. I'm very disappointed. I expected more from Samsung.

I bought this to replace another phone I did not want to spend a lot so I opted for this phone. Got what I paid for. Not a great phone, very slow getting apps to work, keyboard is horrible, camera barely fast enough to photo an ant. Very sorry I bought this phone

I have never been so displeased with a product to review it-- but I can barely use this phone. When I initially got it there was a lag in processing (aka when I click on an app or close the window it takes a few seconds). This lag has just gotten progressively worse in only the last 6 months (not even!) I have had this phone even though I try to keep minimal amounts of apps and things stored on it for this reason. This lag takes so long I will often click again thinking it did not work and will end up going multiple screens away since I ended up clicking on something else--this is extremely frustrating. The lag is frustrating and counterproductive enough let alone having the windows getting messed up. Most recently the home button seems 'stuck' such that google will open randomly (holding the home button opens google). This random opening just causes more issues. The only benefit I have gotten from this phone is that I use it much less unlike being glued to my phone like the rest of society. But I can not get anything accomplished with this phone and it is interfering with productivity. I am getting a new phone and cannot believe --especially in this day in age-- that a phone like this exists. My flip phone performed better. There I times when my phone will not even connect to internet/load things when I have full service. This was very disappointing because I have been happy with other Samsung products in the past.

For example, there is sadly no google assistant. The navigation is good, but not the best. But the UI is very good for such a cheap phone. There is not much data, and the picture quality is not the best, but the phone is amazing for its price. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
