If you crack your screen, you're out $150.00, unless you get a 2 year warrantee. The rubber bumper cases will not protect you from cheap glass.

The Samsung Galaxy Avant is a great smartphone for T-Mobile customers. It is about the same size as the Apple iPhone 6, which means it is a comfortable fit for most hands and most pockets. The Galaxy Avant has 10gb of open memory for apps and games, which is far more memory than other T-Mobile phones in each price range. You can slip in a 32gb microSD card to store your music and videos. Samsung loads up the Avant with lots of Samsung apps. If you don't like them, you can go to the apps menu and remove them or disable them. The Avant provides clear sounding phone calls and you can go into the menus to customize the sound quality for your own hearing or for the use of a hearing aid. Battery life is average for an Android smartphone, and most people will be able to get 12 hours to 16 hours on a charge. The Avant also has a "super power saver mode" that will extend battery life greatly by limiting the phone to phone calls and texting. So, if you are down to just 20% of battery life, you can switch to power saver mode and get another 12 or 18 hours of battery life. T-Mobile provides wi-fi calling which enables you to make phone calls by connecting to wi-fi in locations where you don't have a T-Mobile signal. A "bug" with T-Mobile wi-fi calling is that most incoming calls will go directly to your voice mail. However, wi-fi calling is a terrific feature for making outgoing calls when you don't have a signal. T-Mobile has a strong signal in most larger cities, but a weaker signal in small towns and rural areas. I have been a T-Mobile prepaid customer for over 10 years who always wanted to have an affordable prepaid smartphone to upgrade from a regular cell phone. I was pleasantly surprised that I have found the Samsung Galaxy Avant phone here on this website for an affordable price. Many cell phone stores that I encountered on my search requires prepaid customers to pay an astronomical price for a prepaid smartphone and switch to an expensive data plan.. This phone is a great value, it does a lot of things that many of the more expensive phones do. I was also pleasantly surprised that all my apps and music from my Samsung tablet has automatically synced with my new smartphone.

I am having fun discovering all the features of the phone! I would say its more than I expected. II would recommend this phone without reservation. I should also say that Walmart has the best price (I shopped around) and the electonic staff at Howell Walmart were a great help..If you are debating about getting it?, I say go for it!!

The user interface operates about the same as the Galaxy s4 I had just before this. some of the features like the samsung air swipe and hands free mode are not on this device but it does have s voice personal assistant which is nice and there are other hands free apps you can download ad out there. The screen is a little narrower which makes the phone easier to hold with one hand while texting which I wanted. The camera has the same software for the most part but its nothing special just like the Galaxy s4 was nothing specia.l they both had trouble taking inside photos in low light. Overall for $350 less than the s4 and a great price on the warranty at Walmart, you can't really justify going to the s4 over this song. The budget conscious buyer will appreciate the value you get from the Galaxy Avant.
