Sassy Me in the Mirror Floor and Crib Toy

I once bought this item six month ago. The color and style of the item I received is not as pictured. The picture in the mirror looks distorted. That might be because the material of the mirror is not regular one as we use for adults. I returned the mirror. I don't know if the distorted picture is good for baby's eyes. It seems that all mirrors for baby distort picture in them due to the safty concern material for this kind of mirror.

This product is secured to the crib with strings that you have to knot in place to secure. To get the mirror low enough for my son to see, I had to tie it to the bars of the crib, not the top rail as pictured. It slides up and down and doesn't stay in place well. My son loves the colors and the hanging circular ring, but I am disappointed because it doesn't remain secured in place and slides flat on the bottom of the crib, or worse, in my son's face.

When our daughter was able to reach her mobile (and took great delight in pulling on it!), we decided to lower her crib mattress, and get something safer for her to play with while she's in her crib. This mirror seemed perfect, since she LOVES to look at herself, and the toys on it looked like they would provide adequate entertainment. In the mornings, when she wakes up, we often only hear the soft sounds of the toys on this mirror through the monitor, instead of her crying! I would recommend this product to anyone who has an active baby like mine who needs some safe entertainment while in the crib. As per the other reviews, it doesn't stand up on it's own, but we only use it in the crib, so it doesn't matter!

My baby loves mirrors. She has two different kinds. She sits in her crib and looks, smiles, and coos at herself in this mirror. She likes all the colors and things attached to the mirror. She's always touching it and feeling the different textures and sounds. I really like that this mirror can stand up by itself as well. I take it out of her crib and place it on her playmat sometimes too. I don't have anything negative to say about this mirror.

This is a great basic mirror. I've actually thrown it in the washer and it came out fine! It started out in the crib, but now my daughter's favorite thing is to play with it on the floor where she can touch and "talk" to her reflection. She doesn't care that it doesn't stand up, because she uses it flat on the floor so she can chew on all the toys.
