Sauder Heritage Hill 5-Shelf Bookcase, Classic Cherry Finish

I have put together many similar pieces of furniture/bookshelves in the past but have never ever had remotely such a bad experience. This is EXTREMELY tedious and time-consuming to assemble, and it's very challenging to get things looking the way they are supposed to. the quality doesn't seem great either, the shelves are much thinner then they appear in the picture. Overall, I was very disappointing with this purchase.

This is a sturdy piece of furniture. It took me and my 6 year old daughter about 2 hours to put it together. There were a few steps that were more challenging but the finished product has a nice finish and looks like it has a somewhat detailed molding on it. The library is heavy and looks nice. We use it in our entry area to primarily help store stuff from school and board games. It is a little smaller than I expected but it is the size that is reported in the product description. I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it for others.

I usually am very happy with Sauder products but this bookcase is not as well made as other products I've purchased in the past. The entire back is cardboard that if you pushed books on the shelf against, I fear it would push out the back. Assembly took several hours which is average for this type of furniture.

This product is the worst I ever spent my money on. Pls do not buy this product. It we had to lean it against a wall to keep it from collapsing right after we put it together. Don't waste your money. It looks and feels cheap!

The cross boards on the shelves could be a little longer. I like the idea because they prevent the shelves from sagging, but they are too short and the appearance is not the best. Also the gap between the door could be smaller. But for the price they are working well for us.
