This computer armoire was just what I was looking for in features. It has two pull out desktops and file drawers and lots of room. Overrall, it is a nice looking piece in our spare bedroom/office. The unit is very heavy and does require about 6-7 hours to assemble. It was strange that the very bottom piece in front that is curved is real wood (not pressed wood with a color coating like the rest of the unit) and therefore the color is a little off from the rest of the unit, but not too noticeable to the average person. The bottom piece for the file drawers is a little lacking if you don't plan to use actual hanging file folders as it doesn't look like it will be able to support a lot of direct weight. It is helpful to have two people putting it together. Before we put the shelves in or the back on, we set it up straight. The instructions are little awkward in that it shows the unit being turned over to put the back on. Unless you have lots of room and strenghth, you will not be able to do this. It says that you could damage the unit if you set it upright without the back on but we had no problems. We moved it to the location we wanted it at once we put the back on (no shelves yet). The easiest way to move this heavy unit (if you have carpet) is to slide a sheet under the bottom and pull it on the sheet while someone pushes on the other side of it. Once we got it in place, we put the shelves in and doors on. The magnetic knob that goes in the top of the bi-fold doors takes a little more than a "gentle tap." We put a piece of cardboard over it and hit a little harder and it went it fine. I did not want the CD display and so we did not put it in and it looks fine. We used a box cutter to cut a small hole out of the back for cords instead of using the whole precut area. We found that with the box cutters, it is actually a cleaner cut where there are no preforations (your cuts may not be straight though if you don't use them).

This is an excellent desk. There was only one surprise--the apparent three drawers are really only two, and those drawers are only for filing papers (hanging folders), and the drawers are a little small for our needs. We previously had Sauder's "Computer Desk with Hutch 157337 (7337-290)" which has a better filing drawer, and also has a regular pens and pencils desk drawer. To move in to this armoire, we bought a little box that we put in one of the cubby holes for what we previously had in the regular desk drawer. Also, with little children, there's no real way to safety lock the doors or drawers without drilling holes and installing locks on your own. Other than that, we really do enjoy the product.

The armoire is better than I thought it would be. It is pressed board but it has the finish of real wood. It's space saving quailities is exactly what I was looking for. It is overall a very nice looking piece of furniture.
