I had this delivered to Walmart so I could save on shipping. However, when I got it home, I needed help to carry it up the two flights of stairs in my house. It is extremely heavy, so you will need help carrying it in your home. As far as assembly goes, I was confused when it came to putting Part C on, but eventually I figured it out. Also, I put the shelf inside after i put hte doors on, bad idea. Its probably a good idea to put the shelf in first, and to install the door hinges on the door and then attaching it to the dresser. Overall, it was easy to assemble. I made a few mistakes but they were easy to correct. It did take a few hours to put together. I use it to store my clothes, dvd player in the cabinet and my tv on top. It looks great and is a great storage unit. I am glad I bought it!

I had to order the dresser / chest using site-to-store, and it took about a week and a a half to arrive. The shipping wieght listed on the site is way more than the thing really wieghs, it says 140lbs (or something like that) and it actually weighs like 97lbs. You should really have an extra set of hands to help you carry and lift it, the box is about 5' long or so. Assembly was easy and took about 3 hours to complete, just watch putting certain screws in as they give you slightly long screws than necessary for some of the parts. One of the best features is that the drawer bottoms slide into a groove and then you attach these little plastic things on the back underside to support the rest of the bottom, this prevents the bottom from bowing downwards and out fo the groove as you find with cheap furniture. Overall if you are good with putting things together you'll find this to be easy.

I bought this and the dresser at the same time. This chest was a bit harder to get together, but it's nice. I would recommend that there be two people for this one. Putting the slats into each side of the exterior walls was a challenge with only me working on it (feet and legs came in handy). Anyway, it went together nicely and looks really nice. The finish is great and drawers are deep, lots of room. Read the directions carefully and take your time, it's worth the effort. Made to last.

The dresser is very nice looking, BUT, the drawers are junk....There is no way for the face board on the drawer to stay on. The entire drawer all slides together. There are clips to hold the the board at the back of the drawer but not the front. Needless to say the front board keeps falling off. We are keeping the chest but we will have to make a trip to the hardware store and purchase liquid nails and some l-brackets to hold it together. Also, they have the junky cardboard bottoms, won't hold more than 5 pair of socks.....

Dresser looks great. Very sturdy. The directions are not that great, so it was a little time consuming and frusterating putting it together. We had a problem with the bottom drawer not closing all the way due to a manufacturer defect (holes in wood were drilled into the wrong place - too late to fix). But it still looks ok.
