Sauder Haylea Six-Drawer Dresser, Harvest Cherry

I'm very happy with this purchase the only thing it was not available site to store I had to pay for the shipping cost..otherwise very happy with product, its in my sons bedroom goes perfect with his bed..... it took my husband about 4 hours to put it together. I would recommend this product...the color just as pictured.

I love the product. It goes very well in my bedroom and is very sturdy. My problem is with the WalMart website. The website should address that the product is discontinued or the series is discontinued and advise the number of items in this series that are available. I'm referring to the matching piece, 3 drawer chest. I received the dresser and determined I had enough room for the chest and went to order and they were no longer available and the item is discontinued by the manufactuer. I can't complete the set. That was very upsetting.

We had this shipped Site to Store and when we picked it up, we noticed the box was damaged. When we got it home and took it out of the box, we found the top part of the dresser had small gashes in it. As we had already waited almost 2 weeks to get it, moved our old dresser out and had piles of clothes everywhere, we decided just to live with it. The damage could have been easily avoided by putting the top part of the dresser face down in the box, so the underside would be the part to get dinged up if something punctured the box. If it had been one of the display models in the store or on clearance or something, it wouldn't be a big deal. But when you pay almost $200 for something brand new, you kind of expect it to arrive in good condition. It took my husband about half the day to put together, but it looked nice (dings aside) once completed. If it hadn't come damaged, I'd give it a higher rating, but I'm still a little bitter. I was a somewhat disappointed that it didn't come with matching end tables, so I took a gamble and ordered the Sauder Robinwood, Atlantic Oak tables, hoping the oak and cherry wouldn't be too far off. Turns out, they match fairly well. If you put them side by side, it's a little noticable, but otherwise, I doubt anyone would tell they're not a set.

I put this together over two days. It is very heavy when finished (getting it into the house was interesting, I had to take it out of the box in pieces to get it inside as I live alone). I'd say it took me a total of 7 hours to get it finished and it looks great. The whole unit is large so there's plenty of room for items. It is high off the floor too, the same height as the counters in my kitchen. It would go faster if you have two people working on it, but it was easy to do and instructions were good. I would highly recommend this unit. Read the instructions carefully. There are a couple of pieces that could go in upside down and it does make a difference if they are in wrong.

We bought this product a week ago and love it. It was a breeze to put together. It is very sturdy and the drawers glide very smoothly. My daughter loves it! I am amazed at how well made it is since it only cost $170. It is definately worth the money.
