The TV is what was Expected from reading the other reviews about it. Easy to set up, a beautiful picture but, lousy sound no matter what you do it sounds like it is in a tunnel. A good surround sound takes care of that and completes the package. I would recommend this TV to anyone.
I searched around for a LCD TV for the past 3 months and watched pricing go down. This is the cheapest 47" 1080p lcd tv i found. I was worried about the brand but after i got this TV setup i am extremely happy so far. 1080p content from xbox 360 is amazing. The picture is very nice and bright. I read some reviews ripping on the sound quality but the sound is fine for me. You can even change what type of sound output you want (movies, custom, ect..) I do notice if u set the sound to movies you will start hearing a wierd noise when regular cable tv is playing. Overall i would recommend this TV to anyone looking for the best bang for their buck. If you are on a budget do no be worried this tv is wonderful.
Purchased this TV on Feb 5th it did not arrive until the 17 but the East Coast was in a blizzard during that time so I will give the delivery company, Seko a pass. The TV came in a pre-cut box which made it much easier to remove, it was not that heavy I lifted it by myself. It has 4 HDMI slots which made it very simple to hook up my HD cable box.It has jacks for 3 component cables and only 1 set of AV jacks which set on the side so when you use them the jacks stick out awkwardly but no big deal I guess. The picture is awesome!!! The buttons to manually change channels etc, are on the side of the TV and almost unusable, should be on the top. Again, the picture is awesome, the price is right buy the warranty and your covered. BTW the speakers are TERRIBLE but seem to sound best using the move setting, will be buying a surround system soon. Which when you think about it adds to the price of the TV.
We bought this TV to replace an older 32" CRT and in that respect its an easy winner. Even compared to our 55" Samsung upstairs, its still not too bad. All the limitations that others mention apply: only 2 aspect ratio modes, sound is terrible (and was on full-blast first time I plugged it in..), remote is kinda cheap, etc. However, the picture is actually really respectable, and I haven't even tweaked it yet. I put it into my HD cable box and the picture was quite remarkable. Playing a DVD in progressive scan mode with HDMI cable again reflected a really great picture. However.. there was one dead pixel near the corner (which I am likely to forgive as I cannot see it from where I sit). For the price and size, its comparable to any plasma with a few hundred dollars (and I've been looking for about a month). The free shipping and delivery to my living room only 8 days after ordering also was very nice. Is as good as the LCD upstairs? No.. but then again it was 1/4 the price. Excellent value - highly recommended.
Was driving myself bonkers looking at all of the different TV's out there - ended up settling on this one because it had a great size to cost ratio for a 1080P TV. Have been using it every day for a week now, and it has met or exceeded my expectations. When I made this purchase I kind figured that if I can get 5 years out of it, I will be ready for a 3D TV by then anyway. It took about 2 weeks to get it via freight, and it arrived without any damage. The TV is well constructed - in a no-frills kinda way. It has lots of adjustments for tuning the picture to your liking. Haven't used the built-in speakers, as all the audio is routed through a Onkyo amp with Polk Audio speakers. Watched 'No Country for Old Men" the other night, and it was truly a theater-like experience!
