This kayak paddle does it's job. I shopped around before buying this one at Wal-mart and I really could not see or tell the difference between this $25.00 paddle and the paddles at sporting good stores starting at $75.00. So I bought this one. It had a padded handle (no more blisters) and drip guard (stay dry!), and the length is perfect for my 10 foot kayak. I would recommend this paddle!

Good paddle for beginners, easy to transport with breakdown, ends are a little flimsy due to soft plastic but will work fine as long as you don't use the paddle to push off rocks or other hard surfaces, long enough for adults but too long for short people and children, lightweight, grips are comfortable, great for recreational kayaking.

I bought 2 of these right after I purchased 2 kayaks from a local store. I've used them about 5 times so far. So far, I am extremely happy with the purchase. The quality seems better than some more expensive models at the sporting goods store. Love the foam handles. A more experienced paddler may want something better and more expensive but I think these are just fine for the recreational kayaker. WalMart shipped these very quickly to boot!
