Seaside Garden 7pc Dining Set

We got this table in late spring and within 3 weeks the table top warped from light sun! It is mostly shaded barely exposed to full sun and the darn thing is now warped all over and cracking! I love love love the chairs but the table is junk. I saw somebody else called the number on for better homes and garden and got a replacement table that was great quality so I am hoping my story will end good too!

We bought this set after returning one that we paid much more for at Lowe's, because the chairs from Lowe's were very uncomfortable and cheaply made. We loved the look of the set, the price, and more importantly, the comfort of the chairs. We loved it so much that we ALSO bought the conversation set (loveseat, 2 chairs, coffee table, and ottomans). We put the conversation set together right away, but didn't have time to assemble the dining set/chairs for a couple of weeks. When we finally got around to it, it rained that night. Just like everyone said, the table top warped and bubbled and then we noticed that the coffee table was flaking. We were very upset because of the quality of the tables. We certainly weren't thrilled about returning a 2nd set. I called Better Homes & Gardens this morning. They are replacing BOTH tables with tile top tables (same beautiful frame). We are thrilled because who has time to purchase, assemble, and then return 3 sets of furniture and then find the time to look for yet another set? They will be arriving in 10-14 days, so I will update everyone again at that time.

This is a very nice set a first glance. We were very excited when making this purchase, beautiful chairs, lovely cushons but the table top wont last a week!!!!!!!!! After the very easy set up, the patio looked BEAUTIFUL!!! but after 1 week a long crack appeared from one end of the table top to the other end. This is a huge dissapointment and a very big inconvience, we were planning a big party in Aug. and I don't think thats going to happen now. Can't seem to get intouch with anyone from the company and Walmart is out of stock. We paid good money for this set and I think it should last longer than a week.

We bought this set and almost all of the other pieces in late March. All of it took some to time put together since not all of the holes matched up. We get a lot of compliments. Only the large table and chairs are outside of the patio on a deck. We purchases a large rectangular umbrella to use with this set. Within 30 days on the side where the sun hits the longest the table warped badly. We returned the table to Walmart and got another one. I went though it's first rain yesterday so I will be watching it very carefully. I am expecting it to warp based on so many people having the same experience. I plan to call the manufacturer as soon as I see anything. Hopefully they will offer us a different top because we really like this set. No problem with the other tables under the patio. Ironically the chairs under the patio are where we see some rust. :-( If the table top warping had been an isolated indicent I would have given this set 5* but knowing it will happen again and the rust I am seeing under the patio after 3 months this could only be a bargin at half the price.

While we are very happy with the chairs which are well-made and extremely comfortable, we had problems with the table. Even though we removed the cushions and covered the table with when not in use, the FAUX "tiles" would warp. The ONLY reason we rated the product as high as we did was because of the excellent customer service we received when we called the toll-free telephone number listed on the instuction sheet.
