Ensure the high-definition bandwidth transfer and noise-rejection capabilities required by today's IP megapixel HD cameras with the Security Labs Universal IP Camera Extension Cable. PoE-ready with four twisted pairs of polyethylene-coated copper conductors, this extension cable can be coupled to another to carry professional industry standard 48V PoE voltage and signal up to 300'. Simply splicing the wires of 2 CAT-5 cables together will work for a DC or low frequency connection, but not in a high-bandwidth IP network installation. The RJ45 male and female connectors use corrosion-resistant gold-plated contacts that are properly spaced and twist shielded to achieve a maximum data transfer and signal accuracy from one cable to the next. A soft rubber shroud protects the plastic-locking tab on the RJ45 male connector from physical damage or being accidentally disconnected, but allows you to easily detach the cable with finger tip pressure.
