This mixer has been a game changer for me in that I enjoy creating a special drink using it just about as much as more traditional cocktails - gone are the days of lesser substitutes for alcohol. I originally purchased it as a way to make it through dry January but have kept on going - I can foresee an ongoing reduction in alcohol while still having an enjoyable drink to end the day.
My husband and I decided to do a dry May/reset and found all 3 mixes very refreshing. All taste delicious with ginger beer (of course, what doesn't?). The Garden 108 with diet tonic water is a tasty substitute for a gin & tonic. We will definitely buy again, and would love to see additional flavors. Maybe a tangier, lemon/lime flavor??? Or any other ideas for low-sugar mixers.
I have tried a lot of non-alcohol variants and they all miss the mark because they taste nothing like their alcohol versions. Then I tried Seedlip, which isn't pretending to be any of those. Instead, it is its own thing. The botanical taste lets you make a great mocktail that tastes great. I had been starting to lose hope that I'd find something to replace alcohol, but Seedlip has become a staple in my home. I started with the variety pack to see what I liked best and the Spice 94 is my top choice. You won't regret it.
As a mocktail enthusiast, I really wanted to love Seedlip flavors. But they lacked enough zip to do much. Perhaps too watery for my taste, the Grove tasted like lemon water and the Spice was like clove infused water. Because I invested in them, I serve on the rocks with a twist so as not to have a mixer obliterate the flavor - but am seeking something more complex and flavorful.
I was so intrigued by the story behind the product, I purchased all three Seedlip flavors. However, there is no easy way to resource recipes so to my frustration and disappointment I have found it very difficult to use them. In fact, I haven’t yet. I think a recipe book should be available not just a one at a time suggestion online. I didn’t mind the slow S/H. When they arrived, the packaging was beautifully done and the labels are most attractive. I just wish they were easier to use.
