I like the safe and think that it is a good value. I do have a problem with the quality of the carpet covered gun frame that holds the guns in place. The wood under the carpet is broken in a couple of places. It still holds the guns in place because the carpet holds the broken wood together. I dont know who to contact about getting that piece replaced.

What a fantastic bargin! I was expecting a steel box to store guns in, and I got a sturdy, well constructed, well finished security safe. I was amazed at the detail and interior construction, it is more than a safe, it is a piece of furniture that enhances a room. I thought for $400. I wasn't getting much, I was cheefully wrong! Large steel bolts lock this beauty and I feel confident my guns are truly safe. Truly a good deal, and I would reccomend this safe to anyone.

Nice safe, will do the job and keep guns from the youngins. A great price , far less the other retailers. Walmart works for me!!

I should have paid attention to the poor reviews for this product. It is of inferior quality to what I expected. I have an existing Sentry 14 gun safe that I paid under $300 for about 10 years ago. I assumed that this safe was identical and certainly is by way of description. But it is not made as well as previously purchased product; certain features (e.g., shelf and barrel rack) were not the same design as the earlier safe; and the items that were different were cheaply constructed. This is the downside of Walmart selling the product only online so you can't inspect it in the store. Of course, I didn't know all of this until I went to the effort to get it in the basement and unwrapped the packaging. If it were easy to do so, I would return it. Instead, I am now shopping for a better quality gun safe that I can inspect before it gets moved into the basement.

It was everything I hoped it would be! A real bargan and just the right size. At 181 lbs no one will carry it out if I am not at home and they break in. All my guns are safe and I feel much better about that.
