Oscar-winner Joan Fontaine ("Suspicion") joins Joseph Cotton ("Citizen Kane") and Jessica Tandy ("Cocoon") in this tender love story highlighted by fine performances, memorable music (including Walter Huston's poignant version of "September Song") and on-location filming in exotic Capri. He has a wife and family. She has a demanding career as a concert pianist. Together they share a "September Affair" they know must end-until the plane they are thought to be on crashes at sea.
