This chair is one of the smaller lift recliners I've seen, the perfect size for a woman to be comfortable. The smaller footprint allows it to fit easily into existing room layout. the controls are simple and easy to use, large buttons for ease of operation. Handy side pockets make it convenient to store a magazine, book, or small supplies. The only drawback was in attaching the seat back to the base, the hardware does not not align properly. I will need to find a handyman to adjust the locking mechanism. With no manufacturer contact available (no phone, email box is full, no local outlet) I'm unhappy with lack of local service options.
I did a lot of shopping around before I made this purchase both on-line and in person. This chair was a really good price and the shipping was free to my door!! I ordered on-line on a Sunday evening and the chair was delivered to my door on the following Wednesday afternoon. Less than 72 hours! I ordered it for my father. We unpacked it and set it up (easy!) and put my Dad in the chair. He loves it! One thing I looked for was an uncomplicated remote to work the chair. Very simple to use! Another thing that wowed us about the chair is how quiet the motor is. If I'm not looking at the chair, the only way I know Dad is adjusting the chair is if I hear the soft click of the remote when he first pushes the button. In summary, great experience, great product, great price!
Have had the chair for 2 weeks, and already it is having a hard time going up and down. My dad weights 115 lbs and it strains to lift him up or recline. You can hear the motor turning but nothing happens. We had a Lane lift chair but had to give it away as it only had 3 lift options to sit or lift but quality was very good. This chair does have lots of lift and reclining options but even that is not enough to make it a useful chair. Very cheaply made.
Out of the box there were no directions on connecting the electrical wiring. I had to find directions to a similar chair on line. The chair itself was probably a good value and decent quality but the control was not user friendly for the elderly. Since that is who the chair was purchased for it was a big problem. The buttons that needed to be the biggest were the smallest. It was difficult to figure out which button did what to get the chair where you wanted it. The heat feature was barely noticeable. The vibrating feature did not have an off mode. Once it was turned on it continued thru the whole cycle of at least 20 min. Like I said the chair itself was good and maybe without the heat and vibration it would have been a keeper but the added features made the remote to complicated for an elderly partially blind person. I had no problem returning it to sam's club.
The control for the chair was a challenge for my father-in-law. It has two buttons on the top, two buttons on the bottom and four in a circle in the center with a lock button in the middle. He kept hitting the lock button in the middle and did not remember how to unlock which took six seconds by holding it down. Chair moved slow for positions and he was impatient due to his stroke. The depth of the chair was a bit on the shallow side making it easy to roll out at night if he slept in it. Sams was kind to return the chair minus the shipping fee. :) Thank You!
