I bought this drone in November 2016 for my then 3-year-old son. After charging it, I gave him the controllers and he practically flew it into the wall. The drone turned perpendicularly with the propellers hitting the wall. My son took off with the controller running. When it crash landed on our living room floor, I thought it was broken. Thankfully, except for a few scratches on the propeller, the drone endured remarkably well. A few days later, I took it outside and flew it. After flying i higher than 150 ft, I was no longer able to control it, and flew into our neighbor's tree. I recovered it after kicking at it with a soccer ball. It came down and everything was in tact! I flew it around under the 100 ft mark and it was okay. Although, I noticed the wind would blow it in every which direction. Not having learned my lesson, I wanted to test its vertical limits. It was directly above me, but once I breached the 150 ft vertical limit, I lost control. The light wind blew it half a mile down. I recovered it after knocking on several doors asking to comb neighborhood properties. On the drone's last voyage, my 6-year-old niece flew it into our 60 ft hickory tree and got stuck in one of the upper branches. It could not be brought down despite numerous neighbors' and friends' attempts to kick at hit, and throw footfalls. The drone fell down on its own after five months at the tree's summit, once the leaves and branches fell in autumn. The drone does not work, now probably succumbing to the rain and outdoor elements. However, its lightweight structure proves that it can endure harsher falls. When I get my next drone, I will tie a kite string around the drone's legs so that I can prevent it from running away and bringing it in should it ever lose control.
I bought this drone as a Christmas present, at the Black Friday sale. When my husband got it for Christmas he was so excited. He took it outside to fly it. As soon as it went in the air it took off. He turned off the control, hoping it would send the drone falling out of the sky. The drone took off and we haven't seen it since. We called the customer service number on the box to tell them about what happened. The lady said they couldn't do anything, unless they had the drone, so they could test it and see what the problem was. We told her we didn't have it because it took off, didn't matter, she kept insisting that she had to have it in order to do anything. Waste of money!
Do yourself a favor, and read all the other reviews. This drone flies away inexplicably if you hit the auto land button. Fortunately the wonderful staff at the local Walmart gave me a full refund even though I returned it drone less. Went and bought an air hogs inside only drone hopefully that will work out better.
Really fun to fly, however, every once in a while the connection is interrupted, and disconnects my controller, making it stay full throttle and break the props. Also, the image is not good quality at all. To fly outside its alright, but you need lots and lots of light to make the picture seem half decent. A fully light room doesn't even work. the quality is probably around 144p, if not less. I would recommend fixing the connection issues.
First time drone owner. This thing is spunky and fast. The first time you fly go to a large field and stay away from trees or it will wind up in the top of one with no way too get it down.. even in the field I hit a power line and had to super glue one of the arms that broke. If you go too high the wind will carry it away believe me. If it is windy you can't fly it, just wait until no wind. I decided to fly it at night and went high and it caught the wind and I could see the blinking lights fading far far away in the distance. I took a walk in the direction that I last saw it and low and behold it way laying next to the road in the short grass right side up with no damage! The lights were still blinking is the only reason that I saw it. So I have been given another chance. I won't let it get too high anymore I learned my lesson now.
