Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Treatment Masque 2 oz (Pack of 4)

Honestly I was skeptical at first bc I read mixed reviews on this but let me tell you omg this helped my hair so much after using it just one time.I got a tiny packet because I didn't want to buy a full jar but I will definitely be buying it when I go back.The scent was amazing it smelt like vanilla.After applying it to my hair,I already felt and saw a difference.My hair was so manageable and easy to detangle and it smelt like heaven.I let it sit in my hair for like 30-45 min and sat underneath a dryer.After rinsing it out I was so shocked because my curls never looked so hydrated and defined.Note before this my hair was really frizzy and dry so I never really knew my hair pattern but after this I was shocked!!Even after a week of not really styling my hair and just moisturizing it my curls were amazing.I have both Type 4b and 4c hair btw!!But for those who are skeptical it's totally worth the buy but if you still are buy the little packet and see how it goes.

I have tried Shea Moisture products in the past, and my hair just didn't like their products. Now, I'm transitioning because I was relaxed throughout my childhood, and I would go to the salon and straighten my hair every three weeks which made my curls non-existent. I wanted to see what my curls actually looked like I had no idea what curl pattern I had. Even with the protein treatments I had no idea, I was skeptical on trying this mask because of my bad luck with them in the past. But, surprisingly, my hair absolutely loved this mask. I never knew I had 3c 4a hair until I used this mask. Not only did it define my curls, but instantly it moisturized them. I had impeccable shine and moisture. I loved the smell as it remained me of a chocolate scent. I definitely felt the pepper stimulating my scalp, once I rinsed it out my hair actually felt clean and moisturized a feeling I have never experienced before. The only issue I have with this mask is the scent is too strong, but it goes away eventually.

I read reviews about this product and I was sure that it would weigh down my thick 2a-2b waves so I did a test day where I would wash it on a day that I dont have to go anywhere and it worked amazing! My mom loved how shiny it made my hair after it was looking full for months and the smell is amazing! I wash with my renpure argon oil shampoo and then put on the mask from roots to the ends and left it on for 30 minutes then washed it out as much as I could and followed with renpure argon oil conditioner and that was it (I didnt wanna add mousse because I wanted to see how it would affect my hair) and it came out so soft and shiny! I wish it could define but it worked 10x better than I thought it would especially since my hair is so thick and I have so much of it. Next week when I wash I'm definitely going to put on the mousse and have poppin' hair

This new formulation is horrible. Why did Shea moisture mess with the Original product? They should have just made a whole new product and leave the old one for those who actually liked and benefited from it. This formula does nothing for my hair. The original formula used to be my go to to put life in my hair but this new formula made my hair worse.

17 months ago I had to cut around 8 inches off of my hair due to excessive heat damage. I'd been straightening my hair semi regularly for a decade, and I reached the point where I'd been doing it daily. It's taken around a year to outgrow the dead/unhealthy hair, and my super curly, frizzy, uncontrollable locks have returned. I've used this product twice, mainly seeking something to give my hair the much needed moisture that other products can't seem to provide - the first time I used it was a few weeks ago, but I didn't keep it on long enough, maybe 10 minutes without heat. There was still some noticeable difference in the texture, look and overall body of my curls. But last night I left it one for a little over 30 minutes and I cannot express how amazing it feels this morning. My curls are defined, the frizz is gone - even after a night of sleeping directly on them. My hair is controllable, shiny, and as far from dry and frizzy as it's EVER been. Also, the masque smells like a cookies & cream frappe, it's great! (rated average on heat protection because I haven't really tested that out yet, I rarely use heat now-a-days)
