The Shimano Alivio RD-M4000 SGS is a 9-speed rear derailleur with top normal pull. It features quick and smooth shifting with a sleek look. Shimano Shadow rear derailleurs can be mounted to traditional derailleur hangers and direct mount hangers. Direct mount hangers position the mounting bolt approximately 25mm rearward. When mounting to a direct mount frame, remove the B2 link plate and mount the knuckle directly to the hanger with the provided 10mm bolt.
