Shop Vac 1 Gallon Hang Up Vac

I have been waiting for this product for ten years and finally it's here! Compactly sized (about the size of a garbage disposal) but as powerful as a full-sized ShopVac, this little guy is perfect for cleaning up spilled kibble, coffee or other kitchen messes. Every bit of it is washable! Although I find it somewhat cheaply made, the price is right and if I get three years out of it, I'll be happy. Every woman should receive one for Christmas, preferably with jewelry or movie tickets hidden inside...

Overall, this is an excellent product, a small hand-held vacuum for small jobs and quick pick-ups - which sometimes extend into not-so-quick pickups. Powerful motor delivers surprisingly strong suction that gets the job done. Easy to clean. I have had this for many years (so long I can't remember) and still going strong. The top half of my model has a slightly different profile so there has been a mild redesign, but it is essentially the same machine. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because of way the hose attaches. You need to open the unit, slide the special hose-end into a slot and close it back up. It's like permanently attached. You can't just pull the hose in and out of a round hole like any other vacuum cleaner - at least that I have ever used. I consider that poor design and it just doesn't make sense. They couldn't have saved much money by doing it that way. So, minus one star for design flaw.

I purchased this as a gift because I already have one and absolutely love it! This little Shop Vac is a great tool in my cleaning arsenal. It's great for quick pick ups all around the house and is very handy for vacuuming out the cars, etc. It is light weight and sure beats lugging the larger, more cumbersome Shop Vac from the basement for use outdoors. If up to me, I would make the hose from a more pliable material and would add enough weight to the base to prevent it from tipping. When it tips, because it can be used for wet or dry material, it is designed to stop vacuuming. This means that it has to be shut off and set back up (righted) so that the float inside drops down. Despite these two quirks, I am glad I have the unit and would buy another in a heartbeat or gift one to a fellow cleaning enthusiast!

This is a great little shop vac that makes moving it from place to place around the house very practical and convenient. Great for vacuuming out my car. Great price. Excellent value. I've bought three of them because I now give them as gifts to other people in the family for their homes. Everyone loves 'em.

I owned one of these for years the old one still works but I use it on dirty jobs like soot etc: wanted this for my truck cleanup if it had a longer cord I would have given it 5 stars, and it could stand to include the brush attachment the old one did. Good suction for so small .
