Signature Sleep Memoir 8 Inch Memory Foam Mattress, Queen

I bought this mattress and after I received it I thought maybe I should have ordered the 12". After opening and watching it expand (almost instantly) after my first nights rest I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I'm a Crossfitter and weigh 185 lbs and this mattress has helped with pressure I used to feel on my lower back from sleeping on my stomach. A great mattress at a great price! You will not regret it, I sure don't!

I really had second thoughts the first night I slept on this mattress. We had not given it more then 6 hours to decompress and it really felt hard. A week later I had to write this review to say to everyone who is wavering... BUY BUY BUY Prior to this we slept on a King Spa Sensations 12 inch Thermotouch, after 3 years it just lost all it's integrity and became too soft. This bed cost less and feels so much more substantial. If you are wavering between these two brands there is no comparison. I'm a 48 year old petite woman, 5'0 tall and 115 lbs. My lower back and hips have become such a problem for me. After one week of sleeping on this mattress I can honestly say my hip and lower back pain are gone. My husband is 5'9 and 230 lbs. He loves this bed. No more hip or shoulder pain waking him up at night. It is a very firm mattress in my opinion. Not hard, but there is not a lot of give. Substantial is the only way I can think to describe it. After being on our bed frame for a few days I do believe it expanded more and changed slightly to make sleeping on your stomach more comfortable . I just love it now. I would like to say that we had our Spa Sensations mattress on box springs, we have this mattress on birch slats. That may make a difference, a fabulous difference if you ask me.

I ordered this to replace the queen air mattress in my horse trailer. We previously had a foam mattress that needed to be replace and when I saw the extremely expensive options ($400+) out there we used the air mattress. After many freezing nights, leaks, near death experiences sleeping with two people,and chiropractor visits...I decided to invest in a good nights sleep. To my surprise I found this economical option at Walmart. Ordered store pickup. Delivery was faster than estimated, but the "duffle" bag (which is it's outer packaging) was beat to death and extremely dirty. When opened the Mattress was in good shape, needs 48hrs to open properly, and needs a mattress pad cover according to directions. Had I known we needed a pad I would have ordered that too, but we slept in sleeping bags. We were able to sleep two nights comfortably in freezing temps. I was warned by another friend that their memory foam mattress gets rock hard in the cold, but this was not our experience and we were cozy, safe, and sound! I look forward to many good nights of sleep, super happy with this find, it is perfect for what we needed, and hope it holds up well over time. My daughter just bought an expensive bed and said it was comparable!

I decided to give the on-line purchase of a foam mattress another chance since I had a good experience purchasing a twin from Bed-In-A-Box about five years ago. Now, however, I needed a full size for my newly constructed horizontal Murphy Bed. The mfg specs for the Murphy bed stated no more than 74X54X12 and 50 to 65 lbs. OK, the specs on the Signature Sleep Memoir 12" Memory Foam Mattress are exactly 74X54X12 and it weighs 55 lbs ... and these dimensions are absolutely exact wherever I measured them ... 4 hrs after I opened the package ... and with no odor! I couldn't believe it ... absolutely perfect! As far as comfort goes ... I can now comfortably sleep on either side, my back, or even my stomach ... and this is from someone that had all kinds of aches and pains from previous mattresses. I will admit that it is a little firm ... but, with time, I am sure this will not be a problem. BTW ... this mattress was 1/3 the cost of a similar size Bed-In-A-Box. I couldn't be happier!

I bought the 6" thick version of this mattress to replace a futon on a fold out futon couch/bed. It works perfectly and is much more comfortable than the futon. The washable cover is nice and because it's foam I'll never have to worry about dust mites or bed bugs. I have no problems folding it 90 degrees in half to fit the couch. I've read reviews about visco-foam mattresses giving off an odor when they are first opened; it gave off a very faint smell for the first day and then never smelled again. It came tightly rolled up when packed and stuffed into a burlap duffle bag. It was easy to unpack and surprising light to carry, carrying handles on the duffle sack made it easy. When I unpacked it I left it out for three hours and it fully expanded in that time. As a day to day bedroom mattress this might be a bit thin at 6" for most adults. This mattress would be absolutely perfect for a child's bed (as they weight less and the cover makes cleaning easy), a mattress for a guest bed (again the washable cover makes this easy to clean) or as I've done, a replacement for a futon. I highly recommend it.
