The company is being very untruthful with this particular version. It says it could be cross-contaminated when it is directly contaminated. When it says Barley Malt is added, how is that anywhere close to gluten-friendly? I had this 2 weeks ago and am still sick from it. And I am a person not so gluten-sensitive!
Last week I went to stock up on the chocolate oat milk and I was only able to buy 5 cartons. Well ShopRite said that the chocolate is being discontinued. This brings me and my family great sadness since it took many years to find a milk to satisfy the needs of all 6 of us. Please bring it back.
I absolutely love love love Silk Oat Yeah Chocolate oat milk!! The oat milk is delicious. It isn't heavy. It's smooth. I pair so well with a cup of coffee in the morning but also perfect for just a glass paired with a couple cookies or with breakfast. I had tried other milk alternatives, I either didn't like them or they too upset my stomach like regular milk does. They have 2 other kinds, I have tried both. [Three total: Plain, Vanilla, Chocolate.] Silk has made me a life long oat milk drinker. I'll never have any other milk or milk alternative in my fridge. Thank you Silk!! I tried The Chocolate One with a little hesitation, as I have never tried almond milk, soy milk, or any other kind of "milk" other than cow and goat. To be honest, I am not even a big cow milk fan, so I wasn't expecting much from the Oat Yeah. I was pleasantly surprised. It was not the awful "fake" taste I was expecting. It wasn't gritty or thick or sludgy! I found the milk to be smooth and left no weird aftertaste. Can you tell, I was worried it would be all the things it isn't? It was actually milder and more "milk-like" than I expected. Normally, if I am having chocolate milk, I prefer it super duper chocolatey, and this is more a subtle chocolate flavor, probably more in line with how "normal" people like their chocolate milk. I added this to my coffee and found it to be a pleasant change from my normal creamer. My daughter is 14 and she did not pay attention to the label and assumed this was just a different brand of chocolate cow milk. She drank the whole glass. She did comment later that her dad had bought a new kind of milk, so she recognized it was different, but not how or why. This is a big win, given she is an extremely picky teenager. If you are looking for a replacement to your cow milk, soy milk, or almond milk, I would recommend giving this a try, I was seriously surprised, even though I prefer a little more chocolate flavor. My family and i have tried the Silk Oat Yeah Oatmilk and it tastes surprisingly good! We never tried Oat milk before and we were skeptical of how it tastes. Good thing we tried it and it's not a disappointment! The texture of Oat milk is actually very creamy, not like Almond milk that it's very watery. Oat milk smells great too! We were surprised how creamy the texture is and it tastes similar to Soy milk. What a great replacement of cow milk. It's great to just drink it as is, and it's also taste great to add into coffee as a creamer! I will definitely recommend to others to try it out! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
