In need of three joint replacements, hip and both knees, I needed a power travel chair to get around. Problem was getting it in and out of my Hyundai Sonata trunk. Discount Ramps solved my needs, twice. I ordered first set without measuring Hyundai trunk, oops, way too long at 5'7" at shortest length and a little too heavy for my failing hip and knee joints. Before arranging for a return I purchased the 3' ramps which will fit in the Hyundai trunk with 2" to spare. And weighing only 7 lbs. each, I can easily handle loading and unloading the ramps. Travel chair in center of trunk and a ramp to the left and to the right results in a perfect fit. I have to be taken by gurney 3 times a week for dialysis. The front steps were a killer for my transportation. The ramps are easy to use, easy to stow off to the side when not in use, and will come inn handy when I use a wheelchair. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this pair of ramps not to use with a wheelchair, but to facilitate loading things in and out of my van. I have a full-size van and need to transport, unload, and reload fairly heavy music gear in, out of, and back into it. I have a 10-ft folding ramp that folds down to 5 feet that I've been using for about a year, but it is still over a foot wide once folded. And it weighs over 70 lbs. It does the job well, though, and I didn't buy these ramps to replace it, I bought these to facilitate rolling that equipment up short staircases to stages and such. Because different venues have different-sized staircases, the adjustable length and relatively light weight make it easy to get the ramp in and out of the staircases. And the rubber on the bottoms of the ends keeps the ramps from slipping. After using the ramps on some stairs, it occurred to me that it might work in place of my big folding ramp for getting things in and out of the van. And it does. Better yet, these new ramps remain fairly rigid and don't sag when I'm pushing something up them like the big ramp does. And they're both rated at 600 lbs., which works out well for my needs. We bought this for my husband's wheel chair to get it in and out of our van. It is light weight fits easily into the van and slides out for used. I love it. I can't lift anything heavy and this was perfect. When I called to inquire about what I needed the people there were as friendly and helpful as anywhere I have ever been. This is the second item we have bought from them, we recommend them to everyone.

My mom primarily gets around by wheelchair. She can walk a little bit but getting into the house was a struggle and I was worried she might fall and I or her caregiver might miss catching her. I ordered the ramps on Wednesday and they arrived today on Thursday. They were waiting when we came back from having a procedure done at the hospital. I had them unpacked and ready to go in a few minutes. Pushing her up the two tracks was easy and when the weather gets better her caregiver can use them to take her out through the front door. My only regret is that I didn't buy them sooner.
