Silver Spring 5-1/4in High Aluminum Mobility Threshold Ramp for Wheelchairs, Scooters, and Power Chairs

We are disappointed with this ramp. Assembly is difficult in that it's impossible to screw in the screws holding the extension(s) in place. The holes are not well aligned, plus there is a lip above where the screws go that prevents a straight-on tightening approach. So our screws are barely holding those pieces together. Also, and this is not the product's fault per se, the ramp moves/slides around on our brick surface, so it doesn't stay steady when rolling over it. We need to try putting a rug under it or over it to hold it in place, but that was not our original hope for the setup. In hindsight, a rubber one-piece ramp would have been better. Quality of ramp was great, but tried to purchase two additional sections to increase height but was told this is not possible. The ramp system being modular, one would assume additional sections could be purchased to add on. i was disappointed this was not possible and only option was to buy a new complete kit.

We needed this for a step off our back patio and it works perfect!! It doesn't look big and bulkie. The ramp itself feels solid and safe when going down it. Here are somethings I think you should keep in mind..... That there is some assembly required and that means you have to put all of it together. It can be a one person job. I found it very easy to put together. Just make sure you wear safety gloves. The metal can give you a nice paper cut. I also would assemble on a covered surfaces or a non-scratch the surface. I think it's a good product. I hope this review helps.

A friend told me about this company and the ramps that they build. She and her husband own several ramps, and they are very pleased with the products. So, I took her advice and ordered a ramp for our house, since my 86 year old father is about to move in with us. It was easy to work through the information on the website and place our order. The ramp arrived very quickly, was easy to put together, and is doing its job! We are very pleased with the ramp.
