Love this machine! My sister has this same model has had it for awhile and recommended it. Love all the stiches!! Was having a problem with my seam allowances...not anymore with this machine.
I got this machine a few years ago from my parents when started getting into sewing. I'm not professional, but up-cycling clothes is a hobby for me. I also was costumer for a lot of my school plays, and used this machine to make many costumes. It is a really easy machine to work with, and didn't break until recently. It lasted a few years, but when it broke, getting it fixed would probably cost the same as buying a new one, but after a few years, you may need an upgrade anyways. If you are a bit inexperienced, or not wanting to sew professionally, I highly recommend this machine.
I love the way the machine handles....very smooth! I am looking forward to many years of projects. Thank you!
Nice little machine. Works well. I replaced my Singer machine I had for over 30 years. I loved my old machine, but it just didn't run anymore. This machine has more possible types of stiches. The only problem I had was using the automatic needle threader. Still can't figure out how to use it. I guess I will have to watch the CD that was enclosed.
Mostly sew home decor and this machine has the durability to sew through 2 layers of double quilt fabric when my other lighter weight machine could not, growled and broke the needle. Stitch quality is great; the variety of stitches suits my needs. I have used the Optional Singer even feed foot with fantastic results - the quilted fabric fed evenly to the cotton fabric. I top stitched through all layers with no growling or broken needles. I prefer a more rugged stable machine to those ultra- computerized 100+ stitches which are light weight. I have used the one step buttonhole foot with great results - just remember to use stiff interfacing on stretchy fabrics. (i.e. fleece). I would recommend this machine to any level of sewer.
