my daughter received as a birthday gift... the pedal cord was too short, we she put the sewing machine in the table the pedal was hanging. We she finally put it to work, she couldn't do much because it was difficult to press the pedal with one hand and trying to sew with the other. Used it one time, and know is going to the donation bin.
