I love my Singer Heritage. I haven't used a sewing machine in a very long time. This one was so easy to use i couldn't had picked a better sewing machine. I love it, its a part of my family. its my new toy!!

I bought this as a downgrade to my super quilting machine because I didn't need that caliber of machine any more. The Singer Heritage is a very nice robust sewing machine with a few frills. Easy to use. Pros: big sewing table, stitch and other functions easy to change, thread spool can be horizontal or vertical, looks vintage with the ease of being modern. Cons: only one -- not as easy to thread for the first time. The illustrations and instructions could be better. Once you get it threaded, sewing is easy.

I was cautious about ordering this machine because of mixed reviews I had read on various seller websites. However, the machine arrived on time and in perfect condition. It sews beautifully! The design and functionality are splendid - especially the retro detailing that reminds me of my Mother's old Singer that I learned on so many years ago. The innovative features like the needle threader, the electronic stitch options that work at the push of a button, make sewing on stretch fabrics, mesh and even heavy fabrics like leather, a breeze! I have only had it a couple of weeks and will update if I encounter problems. I bought the three year Wal-Mart warranty - just in case. It includes free shipping on returns or repairs.

Overall, I love the machine. The automatic threader doesn't work, but that's not a huge deal since it's pretty simple to thread it manually if you can see to put the thread through the needle. DO NOT BUY THE WHITE UNIVERSAL CASE that is recommended with it. It does NOT fit this machine at all as the machine is actually pretty large. Comes with three plastic bobbins. As a fashion major at a university, this is great with helping me finish projects at home.

Love it. I have other machines in both the higher range and the lower range, but I absolutely love this as well. Sensible operation, not difficult - gives good stitching, I like the enlarged bed on it (my primary initial interest) and so far am very happy with it and hope "we" keep a happy relationship. The styling is quite attractive. Again I am trying to agree to the terms of posting and it is not being accepted so don't know if this will be entered or not.
