This is definitely a case of more hassle than it's worth. To begin with, this is not to repair your tire from the outside. In order to use this product, you must get the gel on the inside of the innertube. This alone is a very complicated and messy feat. Once you finally get the product on the inside of the tire, you must wait until the gel sets so that the air doesn't escape. After two attempts, and a lot of wasted time, air still seemed to be escaping from the tire. I can only see using this product if you have a lot of experience repairing tires. Definitely not easy for the average person like me.
I've had a wheelbarrow with a small air leak somewhere in the tire that has driven me nuts for years. Each time I go to use it, I need to add air to the tire. I squirted in some of the slime, spun the wheel around for a few minutes and VOILA! It's only been a few days, but I see no signs of the tire deflating. This particular can is only good for small tires on mowers, bicycles, etc. For automobile tires, you need to buy the one that's designed specifically for those bigger tires. I do a lot of cycling and I plan to keep a can on my bike. One feature I may try is putting some in the bike tires as a preventative measure to seal up any small punctures before they can release any air. I have not tried that, so I'm not sure if or how that might affect the balance of the tires.
My kids like riding their bikes, but they get flat tires pretty regularly. This slime sealant has helped repair and protect their tires from flats. It's easy to use and really works. I would recommend this product to anyone who is tired of constantly changing tire tubes.
I used this on one of my vehicles that has a tiny pin hole somewhere. It's not bothersome enough to warrant an entire tire change. I just have to fill it up with air every other month or so. So when I got the Slime sealant I thought....why not try it. The instruction is easy enough for someone like me who is not a DIY person. It took about a couple of minutes and bam! Brand new tires almost! Thanks Slime tube!
This product is honestly so useful and practical if you're someone who enjoys off-road sports. My fiance has an older bike with a couple of flats and we tested this out on it and we were surprised at how easy and quick the process was and at how good the tires looked too. Now, are the tires like brand new? No, but they are certainly so much better and they're safe to ride on. Also, if the claim on the bottle is true and a treatment can really last up to 2 years, this will save you so much money. An affordable and practical product, highly recommend.
