SlimFast High Protein Smoothie Mix, Creamy Chocolate, 12 Serving Container

The instructions call for 8 oz of milk. But, I mix 8 oz of milk with 8 oz of water to make a bigger shake. Drinking more fluids helps me to stay fuller longer. After only being on it for a week and only doing breakfast like that, I started seeing the weight come off.

I really wanted to like this product. I need to lose some weight . The premixed products seem so wasteful . I had tried slimfast powder years ago before the premixed and stopped using it because it was so had to mix up and short of putting it in a blender it was never fully mixed up . I had hoped that 20 + years had made a huge difference. However there was no difference . The product still does not mix well . I have tried several different ways of mixing it up . Unless I used the blender it was not a good mix. My hope was to take this to work and mix it with milk at work . That did not work out . I tried mixing it the night before , left it in the fridge and it was still not mixing well and had become as thick as pudding. For me this is not a good choice. IF you are going to be at home and have a blender handy ..by all means add an ice cube as suggested and it is a great smoothie .

I have been a slim fast fan for years. I usually by the ready made shakes. This gave me a chance to try the mix it myself shake. I put it in my blender along with cashew milk and 3 ice cubes. It didn't really want to blend completely. I put too much ice as well. 2 small cubes would be enough. The ice thickens the product so it is more like a milkshake. Using cashew milk saved me about 55 calories. The flavor is great.I have the creamy chocolate. I use this as breakfast on a busy day and for a late night snack. This is a very good product. You will like it! It is not gritty at all but scraping the blender would help thoroughly mix everything. I like the fact it has antioxidants.

Slim Fast has a new, high protein shake. It is gluten free and claims to control hunger for up to 4 hours. I found that it controlled my hunger for 2-3 hours. I eat every 2-3 hour and my body is aware, so this could be on an individual basis. This product is easy to use and tastes good (when used with skim milk). The Creamy Chocolate is smooth and light to drink. It reminders me of chocolate milk. I prefer to mix the shake with milk as it tastes sweeter, but when I am on the go, I use water. In my opinion, shaking, stirring, and blending all provided similar results. No clumps or powder remained in the cup. There was no after-taste when trying this product. I've tried Slim Fast in the past and I've lost weight. I believe the high protein will provide faster results. The Slim Fast plan(3-2-1) is all about counting calories... 2 shakes, 3- 100 calorie snakes (fruit, veggies, or slim fast snacks), and 1- 500 to 600 calorie meal. The jar is lightweight and will easily fit in a large pursue or gym bag. This product lost one star because one 11.01oz jar provides 12 shakes. Which means each jar has about 6 days' worth of shakes. There are 7 days in a week. I would prefer 14 shakes in each jar.

Though I tried SlimFast years ago, it never worked as well before. The Advanced Nutrition Smoothie recipe has turned off the normal hunger in my stomach so well it makes me want to wait until later on for a meal. Things I learned in the past are not to think about wanting to chew food, and to believe the shake will make me full for many meals like having soup or a milkshake. This new recipe of SlimFast made it easier to ignore wanting to bite into some delicious type of favorite food because it contains ingredients that really seem to fill my stomach. My stomach stays feeling satisfactorily full for the four hours SlimFast guarantees on the label. It tastes great simply mixed with a spoon, wonderful in coffee, and very good as a shaken, frozen smoothie. This advanced kind of SlimFast also seems to work better than generic brands I have tried. Years ago when I stayed almost strictly on a liquid SlimFast diet for three to four weeks, I substituted a few meat only or soup only meals for several of the SlimFast meals. I slimmed down and lost 12-15 lbs. of weight easily.
