SodaStream - 1L Bottle (2-Pack) - Black

Bottles are sturdy and well made. You can take them with you, out of the house. It's nice to have 2, in case someone wants different flavors or if you want to keep one in the fridge. One downside is that the smooth cap can be hard to open if your hands are wet. Overall, I was happy with this bottle.

Too long for the Fountain, was unaware there is a size difference

I've owned a soda stream for years and the old bottles reach expiration. It's a little confusing finding compatible bottles for my model but after a few minutes, I ordered a new pair. I save so much money carbonating my own mixers that whatever the cost, it's still economical. One suggestion, while you're at it, get an inexpensive pair of replacement caps. After a couple of years, the seal in the cap will eventually form a groove and not seat properly and you'll slowly lose carbonation.

The process couldn't be easier. My wife is very particular about the taste and carbonation of her diet tonic water which she drinks by the case. Your diet tonic syrup and carbonation levels are a winner. I love the fact we aren't throwing away case loads of plastic bottles. So far, it's a success.

These bottles have expiration dates. One of the major benefits of using Sodastream machine is avoid wastes (buying sparkling drunks in bottles or can). With expiration dates, that drifts this purpose. In addition, it makes consumers feel that they are not really "safe". In retrospect, had I known about this, I would have purchased the glass or stainless steel bottle. Now I am stuck with 2 bottles that expires on the same date and I am the only person in the family uses Sodastream machine - the extra bottle will be thrown away before using. What a waste, it makes me feel guilty for not being "environmental friendly".
