Solar Group Large, Polymer, Post-Mount Mailbox, Black, MB515B01

The prior mailbox, that looked identical, and was a Rubbermaid brand, got pelted with slush and broke during a blizzard. It was 22 years old and had suffered a few issues. I ordered this and three days later it was at my door. It is marginally smaller than the prior one, otherwise identical. Mounted easily to the pole, although I did have to widen the outside hole so my drill and it's extension could fit in and reach the mounting bracket. Once that was done, the installation took a couple of minutes. I did use a washer around each mounting screw.

Roomy, durable mail box. Bought to replace one just like it that got vandalized. The yellow 'alert' flag that lets you know the box door has been opened comes with the box 'unattached' and can be attached to either side of the box so as to suit your viewing angle..

This is the third purchase of one of these mailboxes. The first was damaged with a baseball bat, the second had a beer bottle thrown at it and cracked the lid, which was replaced (we live in the country which makes it a target). This one replaced the second after the hinges for the lid gave out. A metal mailbox would have probably stood up better, but this one's size allows for medium size packages to be left inside. Plus it really looks nice.

Made in USA and exact duplicate for our 12 year old Rubbermaid mail box that was getting a little long in the tooth. It even mounts on the old Rubbermaid mount perfectly. Not one of the thin overseas knock-offs, the real deal that should give 12 plus years of service even in the Lower Alabama summers!

Love this mailbox. Love the size, will hld small boxes with no problem and magazines lay flat. Love the yellow flag, no more going out in the rain or snow only to find out you did not get mail.
