Soleus Air FTY-25 - Cooling fan - table-top

I was looking for a fan that I can use year round to circulate the air. Must have: •3-speed •Oscillate •Quiet •Large Blades •Timer •Tilting Head •Compact Size for 12x12 room I purchased four different type of fans to comparison after I read product descriptions and customer's reviews. 1.Lasko Products 10" Breeze Machine Fan, Brown 2.Bionaire Remote Control Power Fan BFF1210AR-BM 3.Optimus 12" Twin-Head Universal Fan 4.Soleus 10" Table or Wall Mount Oscillating Fan FTY-25 The result: I found this Soleus 10" Table or Wall Mount Oscillating Fan FTY-25 is the one met my needs/expectation. Very unique about this product is the fan head rotates 180 degrees in the same way as GLOBE rotate with 45 degree #I think# axis. And No Assemble Required. Just plug in and use! Pros: •Oscillate with On/Off Switch •Quiet •Unique Design Cons: •No Cord Storage area #it would be nice with to have a Hook to wind up the cord. if you wrap the cord around to its feet, it won't stand well# •I wish it was on more large % off sale ... it was Online $29.98 List Price: $32.98 You Save: $3.00 #9%# About OSCILLATING: Many of customers are complained about this type of fans description says it will Oscillate and it doesn't. It's because of those customers were thinking Oscillate is the same as Stand Fan does. The Stand Fans will Oscillate by turns it's head. These type of Oscillating fan does not turn its head. There are Front Grill that will ROTATE and it does same job as Stand Fan Oscillating. Lasko Products 10" Breeze Machine Fan, Brown •Pros: Small/Compact, pre-Quiet, good air flow, No Assemble Required. •Cons: Only 2 speeds, Doesn't Oscillate. I picked up the fan at my local Walmart which is 16 miles from my home. When I got home I opened the box and niticed that the fan was dusty and the front grill was very loose. After tightening the grill, I tried to turn it on but it wouldn't work. I returned it to the Walmart store and did not want it replaced. Even though I received free shipping to the store, I had to make 2 trips which totaled 64 miles. I believe that the fan was a return and was never checked.

It's a great Fan. Mounted it on the wall so it could add additional air while running on the treadmill. A little disappointed that it could only be mounted one way which made the switches a little hard to reach. However, it still does the job and my wife loves it.

I bought this fan for my desk at work. It was winter and I could not find anything in the stores. The positives are that it is very quiet and powerful. If you are looking for a fan for background noise this is not the one for you. When I first started it, it did not put out very much air, but warmed up quickly. It does not oscillate from side to side. There are probably better values out there, but I bought this during the winter and my choices were limited. I am keeping it. It is doing its job nicely.

I ordered this fan in June and free delivered in a few days. I love its look, design and unusually light weight. The only reason that I rated it 4 instead of 5 is that when in lowest fan setting, although it has very low fan noise, it give pitch tone unlike the regular table fan's low bleeze noise. Thus it is not ideal for bed room when sleep at night (that was originally I had it in mind). Because of its light weigt, I take it to down stair living room or upstair bath room for after shower cooling. After using for 3-4 weeks, I decided to keep it. A great size air circulation fan for the price.
