This lense feels very sturdy and has great image quality. It's true that you need to be very very close to your subjects, I've even actually touched the lense to the infect I'm photographing... But it works great.

Bought this lens several months ago to use on my a6300. Great results--sharp subjects, wonderful bokeh. Not just a macro lens, but also a nice walk-about one too.

First time I used the lens the front element fell off-everything from the barrel forward. It didn't hit the ground because a black rubber string was still attached. After trying several times to contact Sony, they referred me to Pricision Camera repairs. Let me tell you folks, this is the worst compay to deal with. They never answered the phone over a period of two weeks. They never returnd any of the many emails. After several weeks, it arrived back, without ever answering my inquiries. It just arrived. First time I tried to use it again, the lens again fell apart. This time Sony was promt in responding and was supposed to email a prepaid label. Ten days later, no label. I again had to call Sony. Within an hour I had my label. Now my lens is again being held hostage by Precision Camera, and I have no idea how long I will have to wait. I sincerely hope I never have to deal with Sony repairs again. It's been a nightmare.
