Bought this for a good friend of mine who is not technologically oriented. The Blu-ray reader went to her house so it took me about a week to get there. I tried to install it on her main TV with some problems. So I installed it on another TV in the house with the same problems. Because we are both elderly, in our 80s, we don't get around as readily as we did before. So we finally got to the store to return it it was a couple of days after the $20 plus repair contract expired. So on returning it I lost the $22 plus the shipping cost to the supplier.

This abomination is truly an example of "you get what you pay for". The most annoying "feature" (that by the way can NOT be disabled), is the auto power off. You walk away from it on pause for maybe 15 minutes, it'll turn itself off. Then to cycle power, it takes 30 seconds or so. It needs to boot up, then power up the CD section, spin up the CD, then the screen will be blank until you hit play. Then it has to spool up the video. If I had not thrown away the packing material (my luck the trash pick up happened right after I put the box out), I would have returned the unit for a refund. Biggest gripe - that auto off feature that cannot be disabled.

This DVD/CD player does a good job of pkaying a variety of different formats/file types. It is quite slow starting up and beginning to play a disc. The biggest thing I dislike about this unit is that there is no display. You are unable to determine which track is playing on the disc. Overall it's a good very basic CD/DVD player.

I do not like the bottons at the top. Ie hooked it up to components but you cannot tell if it is on cuz the very tiny light is on the top and it is in a media center. It plays picture good but CD's suck. It does not work right for CD's I am returning it tonight. The remote kept interferring with my Sony Bravia so reordering a Panasonic.

lt was listed online @ $39.88, but in the store @ $57.00. The person in the electronics area was less than helpful and made me feel like I was bothering her talking on her phone rather than helping customers. Her attitude and dimeaner were very off putting.
